When I returned home, I tried to fall asleep, but my head was still in a fog from all of the night's events. I couldn't believe he just walked away from me like that. My thoughts were consumed with Nick and I needed to focus on something else. The pool didn't close for another hour so I decided to go swim some laps.

It was empty and quiet, just what I needed. I wanted to submerge myself in the water and be alone. I swam to the deep end of the pool and jumped a moment later when I heard the pool gate slam shut.

The figure came into view and I recognized the blue swimming trunks. His toned physique was intoxicating, and his deep blue eyes were shimmering. The triangle with a heart around it tattoo was familiar, and I would have known those eyes from anywhere. As he walked towards me the erotic look across Nick's face made my body feel like it would go up in flames. I don't know how he had this effect over my mind and body.

Before I could register what was going on, he dove in and pulled me in tight. Unable to resist, I wrapped my legs around his waist and rested both of my arms around his neck. He leaned in and started kissing my neck, sending my head back with desire. A low moan escaped my mouth. His lips were tasty and soft. His mouth moved lower and caressed my collarbone with his tongue.

He moved his hands up and down my bare back massaging it. I shifted in his arms and his eyes shot up and met mine. We were so close I could see the reflection of the water glistening in his clear blue eyes.

Before I could say anything, he grabbed me tighter around the waist and kissed me rough. With our lips never parting, his tongue entered my mouth, stroking mine. I moved my hands up to his hair and ran my fingers through it, gripping harder when the kiss intensified to show my appreciation.

He released me when we heard a voice coming up the path. Quickly, Nick dove under the water and started swimming to the other end of the pool. My body shivered in frustration as Caleb entered the concrete deck. Trying not to sound flustered, I got out and greeted him.

"Hey, what are you doing here at this time of night?"

"Oh, hey Abby, it's closing time. I have to get the night readings and lock up. I figured you would be out partying on a Friday night."

"Yeah, I went out with the girls in the office for a while but made it an early night. I think my partying days are over."

"You're twenty-four, you've only just begun, girl."

"If you only knew." I giggled as he really had no idea.

"Well, whatever you say. Only advice I can give is always be safe and don't drink and drive. Now get out."

"Ha, thanks for the advice."

I glanced around and realized Nick was gone. I hadn't even heard him get out of the pool, though I guess I wasn't surprised Nick fled when he had a chance. This was the second time he had pulled me in and then pushed me away within an hour. I grabbed my towel, wrapped it around my cold body, and walked the few steps to my condo.

Opening the door, I saw Nick standing in the kitchen with his tanned, sleek back turned to me. I watched as drops of water trickled from the nape of his neck, slid down his shoulders and rested on his flexed arms. I couldn't help but stare at him. This man was luscious and had turned me on beyond control just a few minutes ago. I couldn't resist him. I wanted to finish what we started no matter how much he exasperated me.

I walked to the kitchen and wrapped my arms around his waist from behind. I leaned in so my breasts were rubbing up against his back and moved my hands up and down his abs. He didn't move but I could feel his breathing speed up. He let out a hum and flipped himself around to face me.

Nick's mouth parted like he wanted to say something but instead he tilted his head and kissed me deeply. He grabbed my ass and hoisted me on the opposite counter top. Grasping my thighs, he set them so they were wrapped around his lower back, my feet resting up against his butt. He untied my bathing suit top, freeing me so our bare chests were pushing up against each other. He moved gracefully but with purpose.

With his mouth never leaving my skin, he removed his swimming trunks letting them fall to the floor. He glanced at me to get my approval to continue and I nodded, unable to process anything else.

We hadn't spoken since he left the tiki bar. The only speech I could manage was moaning for him to take me further. Part of it was my philosophy of letting my body do the talking but this man made me feel alive. I didn't want to ruin this with chatter even if he decided to run afterwards.

After what seemed like hours of mind-blowing pleasure, Nick and I laid naked on my living room floor, entangled in each other.

"Shit." Nick suddenly stood up, grabbed his shorts from his ankles, and pulled them back up to his waist.

He handed me my beach towel and I wrapped it around my naked body.

"What's wrong with you?" I sounded as annoyed as I was.

"Are you on birth control?" Nick was enraged.

Nick stomped towards my kitchen and I followed close behind.

"Yes, I have been for years." Now I was yelling at him.

"Well, I screwed up."

"Seriously! I am sorry it was so awful, but you were the one who ended up in my house."

He lowered his voice. "Look Abby, when I said screwed up, I didn't mean it was bad. I just meant I lost complete control. I am usually way more careful with stuff like this, but you mess my head up."

"I mess with your head? Please let me make you a list of all the jackass things and screwed up shit you have done to me since we have met."

Nick's face went flat. He seemed hurt by my response, but I was tired of this by now.

"I knew we couldn't continue that out there. If Caleb hadn't come to close the gates, I wouldn't have stopped which could have been bad for both us if we were seen. Your patio door was unlocked so I escaped in here to make us some coffee. I thought we could talk about what happened, but you came in and, well, I couldn't stop you and here we are."

"Yes, here we are."

Nick pressed the coffee maker start button and approached me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"You liked it." He grinned at me and I couldn't help but do the same.

"Yes, I did, and so did you but I don't think we should do this again. You're my boss. Sort of."

"I'm not really your boss. Think of me as like the silent owner. Your boss is Sally and her boss is the owners of Union Management. When Union mismanages and I am not receiving my money back from their properties that's when I unmute myself."

"So, you're a money hungry mute?"

He burst into laughter. "Yeah, pretty much. But I didn't hire you and I don't sign your paychecks, so I am not your boss."

"Whatever you say. Close enough." I rolled my eyes at him, but I didn't pull away.

I knew what we had just done was wrong, but I didn't care. I was mesmerized by him and how in sync our bodies were. I was thankful that this time he hadn't run afterwards. He was actually trying to convince me what we just did was okay. Like he wanted to do it again.

He was so damn difficult.

Nick brushed his lips against my jaw. I looked up at his gleaming eyes. He swooped me up and cradled me in his arms, spinning around to turn off the coffee pot and headed to my bedroom.

We laid on the bed and Nick opened up my towel so he could see all of me. The gleam in his eyes still there accompanied by a boyish grin spread across his face, he hoisted himself up over top of me. He kissed me gently on the lips and drifted further down.

"So, you don't want to do this again." Nick sounded satisfied at the state he put me in.

I sat up slightly and grasped his face in my hands, lifting it so our eyes met. My lower body was quivering with anticipated bliss. I removed my hands from his face, laid my head back down on the bed, and let Nick take me there.
