Chapter 10: Fiancé

Samantha's Pov

Masakit ang ulo ko pagkagising.

Damn those liquor.

Bumangon ako at naupo sa kama habang sapo ang ulo. "I won't drink again." mahina kong usal, alam kong hindi din yon masusunod pero sa ganitong sitwasyon, yan ang mga nasasabi ko.

I heard a knock on my door. "Sam?Are you awake?" It's mom.

"Yes, My. Wait lang" tumayo ako at lumapit sa pinto upang pagbuksan siya.

Sinuri niya ang itsura ko at umiling iling siya. "Your dad told me that you went again to the bar"

Ngumiwi lamang ako. "Nothing's surprising about that, mom." Naglakad ako papunta sa banyo ng kwarto upang maghilamos at magtoothbrush.

"Yeap. But the thing is, I was surprised that your dad allowed you."

"Hmm, I'm kinda surprised too, Mom. But you know what? He based my punishments by my actions." Nagpunas ako ng mukha gamit ang not used towel.

"What do you mean?"

"He said.. I'll be home schooling if I don't get my grades better." Nakanguso kong sabi. Kaya ko naman 'yon. I want their attention and now they're giving me. That's why I need to fix all. I have other goal to achieve.

To make them proud of me.

"Oh, that's nice." Tumatawang sabi ni mommy. "Ayaw mo naman na mag home school, diba? Kaya magpakabait ka na."

Lumabas ako sa banyo. "I'm trying naman, My. Just give me some time and I'll be better."

Lumapit siya sa akin at hinaplos ang pisngi ko. "Some times may be I'll be harsh when deciding on what to do to you, or how to make the best of you but always remember, okay? On your downfall, mom's here. On your breakdowns, I'm here. Your dad and I are here. Walang Emanuel ang nag-iiwanan." she kissed my forehead. Mom's words just melted my heart. "And, we're sorry for being busy lately, nawawalan na kami ng time sa baby namin."

I laughed. "Mommy naman e, I love you talaga!" niyakap ko siya at ngiting ngiti.

I'm really lucky to have my mommy in my life.

Ilang saglit pa ay parehas na kaming bumitaw sa pagyayakapan. "Oo nga pala. Magbihis ka na, we're going somewhere."

Kumunot ang noo ko.

"Huh?Where, mom? I have some class today."

Ngumiti lamang ito. "You're excused. Go and fix yourself. We'll be waiting you downstairs.Wear something formal." At saka ito lumabas sa kwarto ko.

I wonder, where will we go?

Pumasok akong muli sa banyo upang maligo. Pagkatapos ay nagbihis na, simple'ng yellow dress lang ang suot ko ngayon. I put some light make up and sprayed a little perfume. As I've finished, I go downstairs and I saw there mom and dad waiting for their beautiful daughter.

"Pretty" pag compliment ni mommy sa akin habang pababa ng hagdan at may ngiti sa labi.

"Well, saan pa po ba ako magmamana?" Tumawa kaming dalawa.

"Let's go. They're waiting." Ani dad at nauna nang lumabas ng bahay.Sumunod na din kami ni mommy.

"Mom, where actually are we going?" Tanong ko habang nasa byahe kami.Mukhang malayo pa ang ibabyahe namin.

"To a friend of mine."

"But.. why should all of us to be present there? May importante po bang okasyon doon?" I asked.
