After a long day spent with Taylor's friends and family for her birthday, you were finally home. Taylor sighed and sat down on the couch as she took off her shoes. "Did you have a good day?" You asked her, taking her soft hand in yours and pressing a kiss to it.

You threw Taylor a surprise party tonight. You made sure to invite all of her friends and family, wanting to make her thirtieth birthday one she'd never forget.

"Of course I did. Thanks to you." She smiled and squeezed your hand. You looked at the clock on the wall. It wasn't quite midnight yet, so it's still her birthday. "It's not over yet" you murmured and Taylor furrowed her eyebrows. "Babe..." You chuckled and tugged her up. "I have one more surprise for you. I've been planning it for a while but I didn't wanna do it till today."

She was confused but a bright smile quickly tugged up at her lips when you led her out to the backyard and she saw all the trees decorated with fairy lights as soft, romantic music played in the background. Flowers were scattered all over the ground, her favorite kind, of course.

"Y/n..." She sighed, in awe at the sight in front of her. "I really love you, Tay." Taylor grinned at you. "Oh, honey, I love you too." You nodded your head as your hands began to shake. "As I said, I've been planning this for a while but I wanted to wait till today because it's your birthday and to me, there's not a day more special than that."

You took a shaky breath. "You're the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I don't know how I got so lucky or what I did to deserve you, but I'm so thankful for whatever it was that I did. You are the most beautiful person I've ever known. I love how generous you are, how much you care and listen, how you never judge. Not just with me, but with your fans, too. Everyone who gets the pleasure of knowing and loving you are the lucky ones."

You saw Taylor's eyes swimming with tears. "I love living life with you and adventuring the world together. I wanna do it forever" you said as you bent down on one knee making Taylor gasp and cover her mouth with her hands. "So, will you marry me?" Taylor nodded as a tear fell down her cheek. She fell to her knees in front of you and let you slip the ring on her finger before she pulled you in for a loving kiss.

"Happy birthday, my love." You whispered when she pulled away and instead buried her face in your neck. "This is the best birthday I've ever had. I love you so much, y/n. Thank you." She muttered, another tear falling from her eyes as she held you close. "I love you too. I can't wait to marry you."
