The park was pretty empty, which Taylor was grateful for because it meant more private time with you.

You've only been together for a few weeks now and even though your relationship is public at this point, she still wants to protect you from all the horrible things the spotlight comes with.

You've been pretty open with her about a lot, and she's been open with you. However, you haven't told her about your anxiety and how you often get anxiety attacks. Your previous girlfriends weren't understanding. And, knowing how much stress Taylor already goes through, you didn't wanna add to it.

For a little while, things seemed to be great. It was quiet and peaceful. You focused on the sound of the birds chirping and Taylor's beautiful laugh after you told her a few cheesy jokes. Her hand was wrapped in yours and every once in a while she'd lean in and kiss your cheek, making your cheeks go red.

But then, it changed.

You heard the dreadful sound of people rushing up behind you and then they began to scream at you, and quickly it was all overwhelming.

Taylor wrapped an arm around you to pull you closer and keep you secure. She kept her head down and told you to do the same, but for you, it wasn't that easy.

It became too much. You felt like you couldn't breathe. There was a lump in your throat that got tighter and tighter and you felt like your knees were gonna give out from under you. They were all telltale signs of an anxiety attack - something you've been through too many times before, but never in front of Taylor.

"I-I can't breathe." You managed to mutter out and Taylor's head snapped up. She could see your hands shaking, feel your heart racing. She could tell you could barely breathe. "Are you having an anxiety attack?" You could only nod your head and Taylor quickly rushed you to a bench.

"Y/n, don't focus on them, focus on me. Look at me" She lifted your chin up, her eyes locked on yours. "Breathe for me. You gotta take a few deep breaths now, come on." You swallowed thickly and reached for both of her hands, which she intertwined with yours.

"In and out, deep breaths. Focus on me, focus on my voice. I'm here with you. You're safe, I promise." She was breathing with you and squeezing your hands reassuringly. "That's it, that's my girl."

She kissed your hands and looked back at the paparazzi that were, thankfully, a little further away. Unfortunately, they were still snapping pictures, not caring about how anxious you felt and how invasive they were.

And if you hadn't needed her with you so badly, she would've said something to them. But you were her first priority. Everything else could wait till you felt better.

You started to come around. She could tell. She watched your eyes flutter open. She softly stroked your cheeks, her thumbs soothingly brushing your soft skin.

"That's it. You're so strong, y/n. You're doing such a great job." She kissed your head and let you bury your face in the crook of her neck, providing a little more comfort. She let your hands go and wrapped her arms around you, pulling you to her chest and rubbing your back a little.

"You okay? Any better?" You nodded your head and let go of a heavy sigh. "I'm okay."

you were still shaky, but you were coming around. And to Taylor, that's all that mattered, though she would wait and coax you through every anxiety attack you had.

"How come you didn't tell me?" You shrugged your shoulders but when your eyes met hers you knew she knew you were being dishonest. "I didn't wanna burden you. I don't like people knowing about my anxiety. People treat me differently after they know sometimes."

Taylor rubbed your arms and softly kissed your forehead. "You could never. I know it's only been a few weeks that we've been together, but I care about you so much. Just tell me when you feel anxious, let me help you." You smiled at her and leaned in to give her a soft kiss.

"Now, why don't we go back to my place and watch a movie? Sound good?" You stood up and leaned your head on her shoulder as you resumed walking together again. "That sounds perfect, Tay."
