she won't let go when you hug her

You walked into Taylor's music room with a mug of tea in your hands for her to drink. You could hear her hitting certain keys on the piano as she sang quietly under her breath. She let out a frustrated groan, which you took as your cue to comfort her.

You put the mug down on the table beside her and then put your arms around her shoulders. She moved her hands from the piano keys to rest over yours. You felt her sigh, so you leaned a little closer and began to place little kisses across her neck.

"How's it coming in here?"

She shrugged. "It's coming together, I guess. Slowly but surely."

She turned her head, eyes meeting your slightly worried ones. "Do you need a hug, Tay?" She nodded and turned around. You put your arms around her neck and she pulled you a little closer for the hug. But when you tried to pull away a moment later, Taylor only tightened her grip.

"Tay? Wanna let go?" She shook her head and pulled you onto her lap. "No. Never. I never wanna let you go." She mumbled as she kissed the crown of your head. When you lifted your head to look at her you could tell she was stressed. She needed a break, needed a few minutes to calm her mind so she could focus again.

You flashed her a small smile then leaned in to kiss her lips gently. She hugged you closer to her and kept you secure in her lap as she kissed you back passionately. "Don't you need to get back to work?"

She shook her head, gave your lips one soft peck, then leaned her head on your shoulder. "No. What I need is hugs from my favorite girl."

You couldn't complain about that.

You just smiled to yourself and put your head on her shoulder, both of you just taking a moment to bask in the comfortable silence in the air, and the love radiating from both of your chests.

"Love you." She whispered softly, fingers moving softly against your back.

"I love you too."
