Taylor ran down the hall with the doctors and nurses. Her hand was still in yours, tears running down her cheeks when she saw the fear in your eyes.

A nurse came up to her and gently pulled her back. "Honey you have to let her go. They have to get her to surgery." Taylor shook her head and sobbed. As much as she tried to fight it, she knew she had to let go of you.

She kissed your forehead and let her hand slip from yours as a couple of nurses guided her out to the waiting room.

They helped her over to a chair and grabbed a cup of water for her. She felt them pat her on the shoulders and she looked up to see them smiling sadly at her. "The doctor will be out soon. Your girlfriend is in great hands."

She sniffled and watched them walk away. She took a few sips of the water to relieve her dry throat. She looked around the waiting room. It was mostly empty, only a couple of other people sitting far away from her.

The hours dragged by. She began to pace around and bite at her nails, so much that one had started to bleed.

She collapsed back onto the chair and pulled at her hair again. She put her head back and closed her eyes but jumped a minute later when a hand touched her shoulder. She opened her eyes and came face to face with the doctor.

"Taylor?" She nodded and jumped up. "Yeah, that's me. Is y/n okay?" The doctor paused and took off the mask that was around his ears. "She's okay." Taylor felt a huge weight being lifted from her shoulders. "The shark took a good bite from her, but she's still got her leg and she's gonna be okay."

Taylor sniffled as tears started to fall from her eyes again. "Thank you so much."

The doctor patted her shoulder comfortingly. "Do you wanna see your girlfriend? She should be awake in a minute and I think she's gonna be asking for you."

Taylor cracked a tearful smile and nodded her head.

The entire walk down the hall Taylor felt like her legs were gonna buckle right from underneath her. She saw you awake when she reached the doorway and the sight made her smile. She ran to you and wrapped her arms around her shoulders when she reached you.

"You're okay! Oh thank god, you're okay." She pressed kisses to your face and smiled against them when she heard you giggle. "I'm okay, Tay." You ran your fingers through her hair and saw the tear stains on her cheeks.

"Oh, baby. Don't cry, please." You wiped her cheeks and she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I was just worried about you, that's all."

She leaned her forehead on yours, her blue eyes turning bright again. "I love you so much. I'm so happy you're okay. I'm sorry I wasn't there with you. Maybe if I would've gone in there with you-"

"Don't. Don't you dare blame yourself, Taylor. This isn't your fault, okay? I promise you that."

You cupped the back of her neck and pulled her closer to you. All you wanted at that moment was to feel her lips on yours.

"I love you." She whispered, her breath fanning against your lips. "I love you more."

She chuckled and shook her head. "Impossible."
