You stumbled through the hallway, ignoring every push and shove from people that purposely walked into you as you went along.

Suddenly someone pushed you down from behind and you fell to the ground. Your books dropped to the ground as some of noes and papers from classes scattered around. You could hear people laughing as the same group of girls that always seem to bully you knelt down in front of you.

One of them grabbed your papers and took it in their hands. "What's this?" You tried to snatch it out of their hands but they held it out of your reach. "My notes. Can I please have them back." They all laughed and began to rip your papers up. "Nerd" they mumbled as they got up and walked away.

Or all of them except one. Taylor. She looked at you with a nervous and almost sad expression and handed you a few papers she had collected but didn't let her friends know she had so she could give them back to you. You took them from her and she got up and walked away leaving ou wondering if she was actually a bully, or if maybe she was as scared of her friends as you were.

Several days went by and you've been trying to keep a distance from everyone. The bullying has only been getting worse and has left you feeling worthless. You've thought about telling your parents or teachers, but you felt it would make things worse.

Making friends has never been your forte but the ones you had made somehow are no longer your friends. The rumors everyone has been spreading about has left you lonely. No one wants to talk to you, no one seems to want to be around you.

You walked down the hall with your earbuds in. You hoped you wouldn't encounter them again. You kept your head down and kept walking without looking up even once.

Suddenly a hand tugged on yours and pulled you into a room. You saw Taylor in front of you. She locked the door before turning around to face you. "Taylor? What are you doing? Let me out." You looked around the room frantically, thinking this was some kind of ploy and the other girls would be coming out somewhere at any given moment.

"No, hey, it's alright. I'm not gonna hurt you." You sighed nervously. "Then why am I here? Are they coming?" Taylor shook her head at you. "No. I wanted to talk to you. I just wanted to apologize."

You felt your heart start to race. "What?" Taylor nodded her head and sat on the floor and you waited a few seconds before doing the same. "Look, I know things between us aren't good. I know I've been a bully to you-" "your friends have, Taylor."

She shook her head and looked you in your eyes. "No. I have too. I mean, yeah, they've been really cruel to you. But I never stopped them. I've never said anything, I've never told them to stop or tried to stand up for you and that makes me a bully. Or a wimp.... or both, maybe. I just want you to know that I'm truly so sorry. But, if this makes things any better, I changed that today. I did stand up for you. They didn't like it, but it had to be done. You don't deserve what we've all put you through. And they're not my friends anymore."

You took a sharp breath. "Oh. I'm sorry." You slowly put your hand on her knee and Taylor smiled at you. "No, it's all good. There is something else I wanna tell you." You nodded your head, encouraging her to continue. "There's one other reason why I'm not friends with them anymore. I really like you."

She exhaled heavily and started to nervously play with her fingers. "I know you can't possibly feel the same. Because of everything I've put you through. But I do, a lot. And I just wanted to tell you. I told them and they mocked me for it but I don't care. I just care about you."

"You really like me?" She nodded her head, staring at her fingers and watching as you took one of her hands into hers. A little apprehensively, but still. You were holding her hand and she felt her heart flutter. Your hand was soft and warm and when you intertwined your fingers together, they fit perfectly with hers.

"I like you too." Taylor looked at you surprised. "You do? You're serious?" You giggled and nodded your head causing Taylor to let out a sigh of relief. "I'm really happy you said that. I was so nervous to tell you because I thought you'd hate me or shoot me down-" You cut her off by pressing your lips to hers.

Taylor froze for a few seconds but started to kiss you back when she realized what was actually happening. She used her other hand to caress your hip softly as she passionately kissed you. You pulled away but let your lips linger on hers for a second. "You're cute" you smiled and she blushed and stroked your cheek.

"Do you wanna hang out later?" "On a date?" You asked and she leaned in to kiss the corner of your lips. "Yeah. Let me take you out for dinner tonight. You tell me where you wanna go and I'll take you there." "Okay." You grinned at her and leaned in for another kiss when suddenly, the bell rang making Taylor throw her head back with a groan.

You laughed and kissed her cheek before grabbing her hand and leading her out of the room. She put her arm around your shoulder as she walked you down to your class, making sure she kissed your cheek for everyone to see before she let go of your hand, already excited about taking you on your very first date tonight.
