The aroma of the food on your plate was mouthwatering. You twirled some of it around your fork, but no matter what you did you couldn't seem to bring it to your lips.

Your mind was racing quickly, reminders of all of the words that tabloids and fans across social media have said to you and you can't seem to stop thinking about them; instantly ruining your appetite.

Taylor sat across from you eating the food on her plate. She'd worked hard on making this meal for the both of you despite her busy day. She wanted for you both to unwind and relax. She's been so busy lately that your time together has been scarce. She wanted to treat you, do something special for you. But she can tell you're not eating and she couldn't lie; it sent an ache through her heart.

She dropped her fork onto her plate and reached for your hand.

"Are you okay, darling?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You haven't eaten anything."

You looked from her worried eyes and down to your plate of food that was still full. Looking back at her, you tried to play it off as best as you could.

"I'm just not hungry."

"What'd you have for lunch?"

You stammered over a response, trying to think over your racing thoughts that were only shifted onto why you couldn't eat and all the things you've been told lately.

"Oh, god, y/n. Why can't you just tell me the truth?"

Your heart was starting to pound but you didn't let it show.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Tay."

"You do. Y/n, I know you haven't been eating!"

"H-How did you-"

"There's never any food missing when I come home and there's never any containers or wrappers or bags that could tell me you might grab something while you're out. Not to mention, you've lost a lot of weight and I've seen the things people have been saying."

You let go of her hand and stared down at your lap. She went to speak again, but you pushed your chair away from the table and went upstairs. It felt like you couldn't breathe. You felt so much guilt, so much shame, and disappointment.

You knew she was trailing after you. You heard her saying your name and her feet on the stairs. You sat at the foot of the bed and waited for her to walk inside.

"Y/n," she whispered and walked to you. "I just want to talk to you. I want you to open up to me. Tell me what's going on inside of that busy brain of yours."

You breathed a heavy sigh and she took your hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.

"I'm just tired, Tay. I'm tired of the constant judgment. How people point out my biggest fears and insecurities. I don't know how it got to be so bad. At first, I just skipped a meal here and there. But now I can't seem to eat at all. The thought of food alone is revolting to me. Because it's only gonna make me gain weight and people talk about me so badly already..."

"I know it's awful, baby."

"And I just thought if I stopped eating that I'd lose some weight and people would like me more."

"Those people don't matter, y/n. Those people are trolls, terrible human beings who are just jealous or miserable and they want to take it out on others. It's awful of them to do, y/n, I know it is. I know that it's hard to escape the feeling of judgment. I know it sucks that people will judge before they try to get to know you. I know you try to do this or that to please people but the hard truth is that you'll never please everyone, no matter what you do."

You looked at her with teary eyes and her heart broke in that very moment. She dropped your hand to reach up and wipe the tears from your cheeks and under your eyes.

"I know how you feel but, baby, you can't hurt yourself like this. Who cares how much you weigh? I don't. I think you're perfect just the way you are. You're so much more than a number on a scale or a dress size. You're a kind person with a heart of gold and I am so in love with you. To me, you couldn't be more perfect. Forget those people that judge you. They don't matter."

You dropped your forehead onto hers and let out a shaky sigh.

"People will always have opinions... but you will always have me. No matter what, you will always be the most beautiful girl in the world to me. Nothing's ever gonna change that."

"Thank you, Tay," you mumbled before crawling onto her lap and holding onto her tightly.

"You're welcome. I mean every word. I love you so much."

"Love you more." You said as you lifted your head and stole a soft kiss from her lips. She smiled into the kiss, mumbling,

"Impossible, beautiful girl. I love you the most..."
