Chapter 20

They reached the park and Joey parked the car. Turning it off, they got out of the car and walked over to the swings.

"Come on baby I'll push you!" He said.

"Sounds good!" she agreed and sat down in one of the swings.

That day changed their lives and three months later they were still house hunting.

Joey had found a real estate agent that was taking himself and Minnie to various properties. He wanted to find something that they would both love, not just him.

"The next one is gonna be about 6 bedrooms three baths," the realtor said.

"That might work," Joey agreed," What you think Baby?" he asked turning to Minnie.

"We can look!" She smiled.

"Great. We'd like to see that one please,' Joey told the agent.

"Alright let's head there follow me it's about 45 more minutes north! A bit out of Boston but it has everything else you requested," she smiled.

"That's not a problem," Joey told her. Minnie and Joey walked out to his car and got in to follow the agent to the other house. As they were pulling up Joey heard Minnie gasp and her hand gripped his wrist.

Joey smiled," I take it you like the outside already Baby," he told her as he parked his car. The agent was parked ahead of them and getting out of her car.

"I do it looks huge," she said, "and look at that lawn!!"

" I'm hoping the backyard is great too. I want to put up a swingset for the kids even though they are getting big now, and I want the space to BBQ," Joe was saying as they got out of his car.

"I do too even for future kiddos!" Minnie burst out then glanced to him quickly.

"I mean like future grand babies," she squeaked out.

Joey raised an eyebrow," We-ell we haven't really discussed particulars I guess. I'm trying not rush again, I did that the first time. I realize I should have gotten to know her more and I would have seen I it was the surface I was liking more than the true core. We can discuss the kids things later,' he promised.

"I said grand babies," she said embarrassed.

" I heard you the first time," Joey pointed out.

"Right," She said. She'd never felt so stupid... she wanted kids some day but it was clear he may not be ready for that! So I opened my mouth and shoved my foot in it!!  The agent got their attention to show them the house. Letting them check it out for themselves. The backyard was beautiful and the kitchen was wonderful... plenty of room for them to cook together.

"I think this place looks great," Joey said," The backyard looks huge enough. How do you feel about it Baby?"
