When the heart skips a beat

Chapter 1

Thea's POV

I woke up feeling dizzy and I can't with my head aching so badly.

Hang over.

I need to have a coffee for this or mainit na sabaw would be better.

I slowly get up from bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for school.

Damn. Why did I went out last night and came back home so late knowing I have class the next day? What a party freak!

For sure I'll be sleeping on each of my class later on.

But oh, I can't be late for the second class since I have a report to present.

As I got out in the bathroom, I quickly checked my clock at the side table

8:40

Eh?! 8:40?!

What the?! No! No! No! That means I only have 20mins to prepare?! Great!

How would I make it to school knowing it's almost an hour to get there from my house..

Dang! I'm so dead!

Yung report ko!

I started to grab some clothes in my closet and wear all of those hurriedly.

I took my phone and my bag with my laptop inside and dashed out from my room down to the staircase.

I saw my parents having their breakfast. They call out for me to eat.

"Good morning mom" I kiss them on their cheek "Good morning dad. Bye!"

"Sweetie, don't you want to eat some food first before you take off to school?" My mom asked me

"As much as I want to eat breakfast right now but I really have to go mom. Late na late na talaga ako" I answered

"Wait for me sweetie. I'll take you to school. I'll be heading to work now honey" that's my dad "There's a lot of meetings in some of the investors today" he kissed mom on the cheek

"Okay. Thea sweetie make sure to have something in your tummy huh?" Mom reminded me

"Sure. Don't worry mom" I bid her my goodbye

"I love you" mom said to us "I love you too hon" only dad responded which makes me stop and turn to look at them.

Not to brag or something but my dad, Emil Mondia is a billionaire. He have some business in and outside of the country and he owns a company while my mom, Tanya Mondia has her own business too which is a flower shop. Super like niya kasi flowers hehe

Because of them I don't have to worry much about how do I pay my tuition fees at school or how should I eat or how do I live without having a problem with money.

I can say that I'm one of those lucky bata who has all the privileges to do everything in this world like travel, buying expensive clothes, lahat na bagay. So thanks to them for giving me magandang buhay hihi

Okay so enough about them. Mas lalo lang akong malelate eh.

Looking at them, I smiled to myself. I know for a fact that they're really sweet and clingy to each other ever since (that's where I got my sweetness amd clinginess tho) and they are both being lovey dovey right now like parents? Hello? I'm running late to school?

"I know mahal niyo each other and I hate to break your sweet moments there but hey dad let's go, hurry!" I called out for my dad's attention

"Calm young lady. Andyan na!" He kissed mom one last time.

As my dad drove his way to my school to drop me, I heard my phone chimes.

*ting*

I received a message from... Krystal?!

'Where the hell r u mondia?!'
'Just to remind u the report will start soon!'

I feel nervous all of the sudden just by seeing her name.

Krystal is my partner in the report I'll be going to present later. But I doubt that I'll be the one presenting it since I am still on the way and it's already 8:54. Our report will start at 9. *facepalm*

My phone suddenly vibrated. Oh no. She's calling me. I am soooo dead!

"Hello?" I greeted her with a low voice
'What the hell mondia?!' She has a low voice too but full of annoyance.

'Where the hell r u?! I've texted you a few minutes ago and di ka man lang nagreply! Seriously tho where are you?! Did you forgot about the report?!' Galit na siya

"I'm sorry but I can explain to you"

'As if your explanation can change the fact that you're late!'

"I know I'm late but I'm on my way now anyway"

'You know what? Bye!'

"K, wait!"

'Guess I'll be doing this on my own! Ugh! I'm gonna punch you real hard when you get here, you lazy brat!'

"I'm not lazy.. I'm not even a brat!"

'Whatever'

Then she hang up the phone.

My dad looks at me with his worried face.

"Is everything okay?" He asked "seems like you're having an argument with someone"

"Well, I'll be dead soon dad"

He arched his brow with confusion "what's that supposed to mean?"

I sighed and said "nothing" then smiled at him.

Oh God! I can imagine her angelic face fuming with anger right now just because of me. Ugh!
