For the first time in his life, Perci felt scared.
He was scared, not for his sake, but of hurting his brother.
"K-kuya."
"Perci pumasok ka muna sa kwarto mo." Ani Odyssey. May diin pero mahinahon.
"Kuya. I can explain." Aniya. Sigurado kasi si Perci na narinig ng kuya niya ang pinagsisigawan nila ng ate nila.
He wasn't planning on keeping this secret from him, especially now. Pero ang marinig nito sa ganitong paraan, hindi niya alam kung anong reaksyon nito. Kung anong naramdaman nito. Perci knew that he was a pain in the ass, pero kahit kailan hindi niya naman binigyan ng malaking sakit ng ulo ang kapatid niya. He wouldn't dare. Kaya ngayon, sobrang sakit din ng nararamdaman ng puso niya. He didn't mean to hurt him.
The last thing in the world that he can do is to hurt Lee and his brother. And maybe he just did that.
"Pumasok ka na doon." Odyssey is still calm. So it made Perci more at the edge. But he decided to follow him. Mabilis siyang pumasok sa kwarto niya at naupo sa kama. He couldn't even dare to listen at what's going to happen outside.
He just crawled into a fetal position and waited.
This is gonna be the longest night of his life.
Sa labas naman, halos walang kibo si Ericka habang sinusundan si Odyssey pababa. He didn't even asked her to follow him, but she knew it goes without saying that they will talk.
Narinig ni Odyssey ang lahat, but choosing to only talk to him meant he has decided into something.
"Odi." Ericka finally said nang makababa na sila. Odyssey chose to go into the kitchen and even brewed some coffee.
Kalmado pa rin ito.
"Odyssey."
Pero tinapos muna ni Odyssey ang pagpatak ng espresso sa coffeemaker bago muling humarap kay Ericka.
"It was a mistake to allow myself to be intimidated by you."
"Why are you intimidated?"
"Or maybe I am not. Akala ko nanibago ako, kasi ang tagal na rin naman simula nung naging ate kita."
"Odyssey, I don't like that tone of yours."
"Akala ko lang pala." Odyssey sipped. "Nakakasakal pala. At medyo nakakairita when you act like an older sister. It was so sudden, hinayaan ko pang maapektuhan 'yung relasyon na pinaghihirapan kong ibalik."
"Odi. You've heard what we're talking about. Perci—"
"I heard it all. Kanina pa ako nandito." He pointed at the table. There are already 3 cups.
