Chapter 1

*Previously*
Maleficent: Slams her scepter on the ground* The King and Queen of the Isle of the Lost, are right in front of you, bow down to your King and Queen

*Now*

Mal was running around the Isle of the Lost. She was running away from something...or someone. She heard footsteps following her. She stopped running for a second before climbing into a tree. She started to run on the branches until one of them snapped and she fell on the floor. She looked up and someone pinned her down to the floor "I'm still faster than you are." She smirks and kicked him in his stomach, making him fall to the floor "I'm still smarter and strong than you are." She laughs and gets up. Carlos puts his hands over his stomach "Did you have to kick me?" He asks her. Mal helps him get up "You wanted to practice." She tells him and pecks his lips before walking off. Carlos follows her "You were almost faster than me." He says as he glances at her "I know I was, stupid branch." She says.

Carlos laughs at her "Blaming the trees again?" "Well, it wasn't my fault." She says. Carlos stops her "Last one back at the castle, has to change Jayden's diaper!" He says and starts to run through the woods "Hey! That's cheating!!" Mal yelled and ran after him. That castle next to the woods over there belongs to the King and Queen of this island. The Isle of the Lost. Once a place to keep the most dangerous creaturs on earth locked up, now...well nothing changed yet. The only thing that did change was the barrier. The King and Queen tried to do better, but they couldn't do very much. Auradon was keeping an eye on them, and Mal and Carlos weren't happy about that.

Mal and Carlos arrived back at the castle "M!" A blue-haired girl screamed as she ran through the gates "M, we have a problem." "Wow, Evie, calm down. What's going on?" The purple-haired girl asked her friend "Ben...Auradon...they destroyed Uma's ship, burned it to the ground!" Evie told her "What?!" Mal said "How did they do that? Why did they do it? Uma, Harry, Gil, Gaye...are they alright?" "They're inside the castle. Uma told me she saw one of the royal boats before the ship was on fire, but she thought it might've been Ben just checking on the Isle." Evie tells Mal. Mal glances over her shoulder at Carlos "What are we going to do?" Mal asks him "We have to go back to Auradon, we have to ask Ben why he did this." He answers "You expect me to talk, to pretend like I'm okay with what he just did?" She asks her husband "It's the only thing we can do. We can't destroy something just to show him what it feels like. If we destroy something in Auradon we endanger not only ourselves but the rest of the island." He says. Mal sighs "Uma!!" She says and runs into the castle.

Meanwhile in Auradon, Ben was in his office when Doug walked in. Ben looked up and smiled "Doug! How are you doing?" "How am I doing?! Seriously?!" Doug yells "Wow, calm down. Why are you so upset?" Ben asked his friend "Is it true?" Doug asks "Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. Could you be more specific?" The young king asks "You destroyed one of their ships, didn't you?" Doug asks his friend "I didn't, I just gave the order." "How could you be so stupid?! Mal and Carlos are probably already on their way here, what are you going to do?" "Relax! They won't come here, at least not today." Ben tells him "I know Mal, she's angry, and Carlos is doing everything he can to keep her on the Isle." He explains "What if they were on that ship?" Doug asks "Problem solved!" Ben laughs and crashes back in his chair. Doug groans "What if Evie was on that ship?" He asks "Doug, she's a threat to our kingdom as well. We couldn't take any risks, if she's dead we are one step closer to our victory." Ben says. Doug looks down at his feet for a moment "If she's dead, I will never forgive you." He says quietly before walking out of Ben's office.

A/N: I hope you liked the first chapter. I changed my way of writing for this book, it's a lot easier for me to write better and longer chapters now. I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter and stay tuned for more.
