Hades was guiding the old man outside when he was stopped by someone. "Let him go." Someone said. He glanced over his shoulder and saw Carlos walking into the room. Mal's eyes widened. "Carlos!" She exclaimed and ran into his arms. He held her tightly against his chest but glanced at Hades. When he let go of Mal he was still looking at his father in law. "I thought I told you to let him go," Carlos said. Hades huffed annoyed and let go of the old man. Carlos walked towards him. "S-son." Smee stuttered. Carlos cut him off by embracing his father. Mal and Hades were just as shocked as Smee was, but the old man smiled. Carlos pulled back from the hug and glanced at Hades. "Instead of guiding him outside, guide him to his room. He will be staying here with us for a while." Carlos said. Hades glared at him and gave him a fake smile. "Of course, my king." He said. He grabbed Smee by the back of his neck again. Carlos turned around to look at Mal. He opened his arms again. She smiled and walked up to him. "Are you alright?" She asked him as he embraced her. Carlos kissed the top of her head. "I'm fine. Even better now that you're here." He tells her. The purple-haired girl glanced up. "I'm glad you're back. Come on, you have to get some rest." Mal said and tried to get out of his grip. But Carlos didn't let her go. "I'm not tired." He tells her, "I would much rather go to the library to read some things." He tells her. Mal raised her eyebrow. "The first thing you want to do after you've been kidnapped, is read in the library? How did you escape anyway?" Mal questioned. Carlos smirked and pulled her closer by her waist. "Don't worry about that, the most important thing is that I got out. And I mean, I wouldn't mind doing something else. But you seem tired." He tells her. Mal blushed a little. "Why don't you get some rest? I'll be up in a minute." He tells her. "I don't want to leave you again." She said. Carlos smiled at her. "I'll be with you before you know it. Maybe run a bath as well, I can use a shower." He tells her. Mal nodded and kissed him before walking off again. As soon as she left the room, Carlos made his way towards the main entrance. He walked outside and saw some guards. As soon as they saw him they bowed. "My king." They said. Carlos looked at them and told them to leave. When they had all disappeared, Carlos opened the gate for Audrey to come in. "Took you long enough." She complained. Carlos rolls his eyes at her. "Wasn't what you said last night." He tells her. They both walked back towards the main entrance. "So you got your father to stay?" Audrey asked him. "Of course, I'm the king." He reminds her. Both of them walked inside. "So what now?" Audrey whispered. Carlos guided her towards an old cupboard. He pulled it from the side. "And you expect me to crawl into this? That's disgusting." Audrey complained. "Don't be such a baby. Melanie keeps these tunnels very clean. Just make sure she doesn't see you." Carlos said. Audrey wanted to argue with him, but Carlos already pushed her in and pushed the cupboard back up against the wall. He made his way towards the large stairs and walked up. As he walked through the halls, he came by a white door with red flowers painted on it. He carefully pushed it open and saw Melanie sleeping peacefully on her bed. He quietly walked in and made his way towards the little girl. He kneeled next to the bed. She was holding something in her hand. He managed to take it without waking her up. It was a seashell. He smirked slightly. "Thanks, Puppy." He whispered and kissed her head. He stood up and turned around, but he bumped into Hades. "Shit man, you scared the hell out of me," Carlos whispered. Hades folded his arms over his chest. "What are you doing here?" Hades asked him. Carlos shrugged. "Just came to see my little girl. Something you're not very familiar with." He smirked. "You better watch what you're saying, De Vil," Hades said. Carlos rolls his eyes at him. "I can say whatever the hell I want. I think you're the one who should watch his back." Carlos said. He walked past the former god. "Goodnight." He waved goodbye and walked out of the room. He got the seashell out of the sleeve of his jacket. "It's like taking candy from a baby." He whispered. He chuckled and let his eyes turn red for a second.

The next morning, Carlos woke up to the bright sunlight that shone through the curtains. He glanced next to him to see a messy mob of purple hair. He pushed the covers off himself and walked towards his closet to get dressed. When he put on his shirt he caught a glimpse of himself in Mal's mirror. He smirked at himself. He turned around and looked at Mal again. He crawled on the bed again and crawled over her. He kissed her neck slightly before he left again. He walked out of the room. He walked through the hall again. He passed Melanie's room. The door was open and the little girl that was supposed to be inside of it was as gone. He glanced around and saw a little figure sitting in the huge window at the end of the hallway. He decided to walk up to her. As he got closer, he saw that she was petting Dude while she was glancing outside. "When do you think Mommy will find Daddy?" Melanie asked her dog. "Why don't you hug him and find out," Carlos said. The little girl turned around and ran into her father's arms. "Daddy!!" She screamed. Carlos smiled and took her into his arms. "Hey, Puppy." He said. "Where were you?" She asked him. "Daddy was looking for Auntie Uma." Carlos lied to his daughter. Melanie grabbed her father's nose with her little hands. "Auntie Uma will come back, right?" She asked him. Carlos nodded and kissed Melanie's nose. "Of course, Daddy will get her back. Don't worry." He tells her. Melanie nodded and hugged her father again. "Daddy will find her." he told her. "How?" Melanie asked curiously. "I have my ways." He informed her. The young king smirked at his father in law who stood on the other side of the hallway. Hades had a bad feeling about this.
