Meanwhile, Mal and Evie sat in Evie's 'office'. They were going through some old sketches Evie made when she was younger. Evie couldn't wait to get married. She'd always dreamt of marrying. Her mother always thought her to marry for power.
But what she has with Jay, it's different. She always thought she and Doug would come back together one day and maybe even get married. But right now she was as happy as she could ever be. She would be marrying the guy she loved with her whole heart!
Or will she? Sure, she loved Jay. But there was something in the back of her head that wanted to say no. But she tried to ignore it. Maybe it were just her nerves getting to her? She loved Jay as much as she loves her son, and that's a lot!
Mal glanced at her friend "E, are you paying attention?" She asked her friend. Evie snapped out of her thoughts and looked at her friend "Sorry, I was just thinking." she said. Mal scooted a little closer to her friend "What were you thinking about?" She asked her friend.
Evie smiled and shrugged "Private things." She said. Mal gasped "So you're not telling me? Your best friend!" She said teasingly. Evie giggled "It's nothing important, M, don't worry about it." She tells the purple-haired girl. Mal shrugged it off and holds up
one of the sketches with a beautiful blue dress on it "This dress is pretty awesome." Mal said. Evie nodded "It is, but I want something breathtaking!
Besides, that was actually my inspiration for my bride's maid's dress at your wedding." She explained. Mal glanced at the sketch "That would explain why I liked it so much." She said, "What color are we actually looking for?" she asked her friend.
Evie shrugged "Blue, it can be any kind of blue." She tells her friend. Mal nodded and continued to look for the perfect dress. Knowing Evie she wouldn't be able to choose between all of the dresses, that's where Mal comes in.
Then the door of the office swung open and Jay walked inside. Evie quickly hid all of the sketches "Jay! Have you ever heard of knocking?! What if we were already working on my dress? It's bad luck!" She said. Jay rolled his eyes at her "Evie I don't have time for this bullshit we have a major problem." He said. Mal looked up "What's wrong?" She asked Jay.
The young thief looked at Mal "Uma just left. Carlos tried to stop her but he couldn't." He explained. Mal raised her eyebrow "Why would she leave? Why didn't you try to stop her as well?!" She said and walked towards Jay. Jay sighed "I came in later.
I saw Carlos on the floor and heard the doors close." He tells her. Mal looked at him "Wait, he was on the floor? Why was he on the floor?" Mal asked him. Jay shrugged "He told me he tackled her. He's in your bedroom." He said. Mal ran out of the office towards her bedroom "Carlos?!" She screamed.
