The moon was rising again. It shone his bright light over the Isle and Auradon. Gaye was walking through the forest that lies next to the castle. She had her arms folded over each other trying to stay warm. It has been weeks, maybe months until she had last been here. Nothing has changed, at least it seems like it. Gaye senses something has changed around here.
After a while, she reached the gate of the castle. She knocked on the wooden material. "Who's there?" She heard Carlos speak from the other side. "It's Gaye, can you let me in?" She asked him. "Gaye?" He questioned. "Yeah, you know, Gil's sister who was hidden from the world behind a big clock?" She said. "We can't let anyone in!" He quickly replied.
"Why not? Carlos, come on, I'm freezing out here! You're not funny." She tells him. There were a few minutes of silence before the wooden material started to move. Gaye sighed in relief and walked through the gate. "Thank you-" She was cut off when she saw Carlos standing between four guards.
There were two on each side of him. "What's all this about?" She asked him. "Safety." He informs her. "Is Audrey still on the loose?" Gaye asked him. He didn't reply.
"W-wait...you don't think- no. Carlos, I'm not Audrey in disguise." She tells him. "We have to protect the Isle...and Auradon." He said. "I can prove to you I am not her! Let me prove it to you! I'll tell you something only villains would know!" Gaye tries to convince him. "She has turned her back on her people which makes her a villain as well," Carlos tells her as he turns her back to her, "We can't take any risks." He added.
The four guards walk towards her. They grabbed her arms and forced her onto her knees. "Carlos! You're mad! You can't do this!" Gaye screams. "Bring this intruder to the dungeons," Carlos tells the guards as he walked away.
He smirked at himself, eyes glowing red. Audrey wouldn't be a problem anymore. "Scarlett!" Gaye quickly yelled at him. Carlos froze and his eyes lost their red shade.
"The day you became king...you told me about her. You told me you loved her. You told me that after Mal's death you wouldn't be able to love anyone else...that's when she appeared.
You truly loved her, and though Mal was her in disguise, you still wished for Scarlet to come back." She said.
He remembered that day. The two ended up talking. They talked about a lot of things when Uma came up. He told her about the time Mal 'died' and Scarlet was part of Uma's crew and helped him to get over her death.
Carlos turns around to look at her. "Release her." He said. The guards quickly let go of the girl making her collapse to the ground. Carlos took off his jacket as he made his way towards her and put it over her.
"Where are Harry and Gil?" He asked her. "I don't know, I left them weeks ago. We were searching for a ship...and Harry he-he-" Gaye tried to explain but started to cry quietly. Carlos picked her up from the cold floor and took her inside.

"Here," Mal said and handed Gaye a cup of tea. Gaye thanked her and took a sip. "Tell us what happened," Mal tells her as she sat next to the girl. Evie came in and put a blanket over her friend. Gaye took another sip before opening her mouth.
"When we left, we went to see Hook, he told us to go look for his old ship. He put a lot of pressure on Harry.
After a few weeks, maybe even months, we found the location of where the ship should've been. But there was nothing but rocks there. It drove him insane. He spent days trying to hack his way through the rock wall. I decided I was no longer going to stay there and watch my boyfriend turn into some lunatic.
When I left, Gil tried to convince me to stay, but I knew I could no longer stay." Gaye tells her friends. Both Evie and Mal hugged the girl. "You're safe now," Evie tells her.
"I'm sure they'll come back. Finish your tea, the boys will fill up a bath for you so you can warm up." Mal tells her as she gently rubs her friend's back. Gaye smiled at them.
"Thanks. Has anyone heard from Uma by the way?" She asked. Mal shook her head. "No, but we're still looking for her. Auradon has been quiet for a while now, but we don't trust them." "Never trust anyone. Especially not a villain." Gaye reminded her.
Mal nodded and gave her another hug. "You're safe." She tells her.

After her bath, Gaye walked back into her room. She closed and locked the door behind her. When she turned around Carlos stood in front of her. She jumped slightly.
"You scared me." She tells him. She walked past him while drying her hair with a towel. "I can't remember the last time I washed my hair and had a bath. It was heavenly!" Gaye said. "Yeah?" Carlos asked her. She nodded and turned her back to him as she bends over to grab a hair tie that lied on the nightstand on the other side of the bed. When she turned around she stood face to face with Carlos. "You've got to stop doing that.
You're going to give me a heart attack." She complained. She wanted to walk past him when he stopped her. "What are you doing?" She smiled at him. "You've been through a lot, you need some rest. I just came here to tuck you in." He tells her. "Aw, that's very sweet, Carlos, but I'm not that tired." She tells him. Carlos chuckled and pulled her against him.
"Oh, I wasn't asking." He tells her. He then let his eyes glow red before pushing the knife he was holding, which she didn't see, into her back. He covered her mouth as she screamed. He then dropped her on the floor. Gaye glanced up at him.
"Y-you're not the Carlos I know." She said. Carlos smirked and crouched next to her. "He's gone. Don't worry, no one knows yet." He tells her and he wipes the blood off the knife. "W-why are you d-doing this?" Gaye asked him.
"You know too much, little one. I can't have you ruin the fun for me. If you tell anyone about Scarlett, everything will be ruined. And that would make me very angry, and we don't want that now do we?" He tells her as he stood up,
"Does anyone else know?" He asked her. Gaye shook her head as the tears streamed from her eyes. "Good." He said. "You're...a-a.. a monster," Gaye said between breaths.
Carlos smirked at her. "No, little one, I'm a villain. And you said it yourself, never trust anyone. Especially not a villain." He said. "Y-you w-won't win this f-fight." She tells him.
He smiled at her and crouched down again. "Little one, I have already won," he said and slammed the knife into her back again. She could no longer scream. She let out a sigh before closing her eyes.
