Then, a cold hand wrapped over my mouth.
I tried to get it off, my hands wrapping around it tightly.
A demon.
My breathing increased as it brought me to its face.

It was one of the pursuers.

I tried to scream, or say anything. But I couldn't.
My eyes were wide, I was about to be hyperventilating, my leg hurt like hell, and I was probably going to get killed.

No, I won't let that happen! I'll stay alive, no matter what. And I'll make it to Emma and everyone.

I peeked at the ground before moving my foot, making a message for the others.
Then, as soon as I finished, the demon picked me up and started walking.
"Where are the others?" it growled.
I muffled and answer, knowing he didn't understand what I was saying.

He moved his hand from my mouth, "Answer."
"They're all dead," I lied with a growl.
"Lies!" he growled back.
"What do you expect me to say? Tell you exactly where they are?" I growled.
"Yes! And you will," he said, pushing me back to the ground, pushing me down to where he claws were digging into my skin.

I winced harshly before looking around once again.
With all the running, pain, shortness of breath, I could barely focus on anything.

"I won't tell you shit! Burn in hell for me, please!" I then yelled.
I pushed my, not-aching-in-pain, leg on one of the roots.
The demon's eyes widened slightly before I got out of its grip and ran the best I could.
When I turned back, the demon had fallen into the underground.

I smiled proudly, then, my breathing stopping, I fell back.
"Lord, help me," I muttered, staring at the blood that had come out when the demon stuck his claws in me.

I stared at my ear, the bandage came off a while ago. My ear was probably infected now... yay.
"Crap," I muttered as my vision got dizzy.
"Ray..." I murmured before I lost consciousness.
