Reader's POV

Lucas and I climbed out quietly.
I smirked, getting out.

We both aimed at him.

Then, we both shot.
Lucas shot at his head, and I shot at-
that won't be pleasant to hear, nevermind.

Lucas and I high-fived before we rushed to the exit.

I opened it and gave everyone a smile.
Their faces melted into relief and each one started to climb out.

{ We're outside. We made it. }

Then, I saw Emma with Chris.

My eyes widened and I rushed over.
"What happened?"
I asked.

"He got shot... but he's still alive,"
Emma told me, giving me a smile as she hugged me.

I hugged back, but rested my hand on Chris's head.
And he leaned into my touch.

"You'll be okay, Chris. You'll survive,"
I said softly.

I then pulled away from Emma for Yvette, Jemima, and Yuugo to all hug me tightly.
"Y/n! You're okay!"
Jemima cried as they hugged me tightly.

I chuckled, hugging them back.

I then took a deep breath.
I looked at Yuugo and he raised a brow.
I smiled and he nodded slightly.

"Is everyone here?"
Yuugo asked.

There were nods.

"Then this is your chance. Go,"
Yuugo said, I stuck by his side.

"Huh? What about you?"
Alicia asked.

"Lucas, Y/n, and I will catch up with you. 
We need to make sure the other six won't be able to come after us,"
Yuugo said.

Gilda and Oliver's expressions fell in worry.

"Then we'll stay too!"
Gillian said.
"Me too!"
Ray said, looking at me.

Lucas patted their heads.
"No, you guys go ahead."

"You understand, right?"
Yuugo asked Ray who huffed in annoyance.

"Kids shouldn't be burdened with this. Leave it to the adults and their killing machine, besides...
There's only enough for us three,"
Yuugo said.

I raised a brow. Killing machine?

"Serves them right. Now the gas and guns won't work on us,"
Yuugo smirked, handing me a gas mask.

"but, Yuugo-"
Emma started.

"Listen. This is the best way. Don't worry. We'll catch up soon,"
Yuugo said.

"And get to a safe place where Chris can be treated,"
I added.

"Get away safely,"
Lucas and I added.

"You guys too!"
they said.

Ray walked up to me and pulled me into a kiss.
My eyes went wide slightly and Jemima and Yvette's popped out of their heads.

My hands met his cheeks.
"Ray-"
"Stay safe, Y/n. I need to see my butterfly one more time,"
he smiled.

My eyes softened and I nodded.
"You too. Now go,"
I said.

Most of everyone looked shocked, but there was no time to explain.
Ray headed off with them.

I smiled.
