Rain drops allowed Olive to open her eyes. She slowly, but surely realized her situation and stood up,stretching.

There were puddles of water increasing in size as the rain started to come down a bit more. She shook Kedamono lightly, trying to get him to wake up. He was drowsy, but with Olive's help, he was able to "stand up".

He groaned, complaining of how early it was.

"Too..much."

Olive made the action of laughing and signed to him,

'Good morning, buddy. We need to wake up early for the bus, remember?'

He groaned once more, but let Olive take his arm and lead him to the stop. The bus wasn't there.

Were they early or late?

Kedamono leaned against the walls of ruined stop, panting. His temperature had gone up,but the cold rain on his fur helped him "ignore" it. He muttered for Olive to hear, smelling raw tires and gasoline.

"Olive...it's near."

Olive heard, and looked down the road. Sure enough, a rather small bus slowly rolled up to the stop. The door squeaked open, and Olive made sure Kedamono got in first. She entered afterward, and looked for an available seat. Turns out she didn't need to.

The bus was completely empty.

Olive glanced at the driver, facing down at the wheel. His hat over shaded his eyes,so she didn't sign anything. He gripped the wheel and grunted. The doors closed and the bus started off before they could find a seat. Kedamono wobbled and almost fell, not used to being in a moving vehicle. Olive was just the same, anxious to sit.

Kedamono stumbled into a seat opposite from her.

Olive nervously tapped her legs against the rim of the seat. She observed the broken-down bus. Overall, it was dirty. Food residue littered on the walls of it. The railings were broken off the bus itself and occasionally clanked against it,every time the bus made a drift or turn. And out of the corner of her eye, Olive could've sworn she'd seen a few roaches.

The driver didn't seem to care at all, however; He just said there are drove along this long and symmetrical road.

The sand seemed to go on for quite a bit, until came small patches of grass and rocks belonging to destroyed pavement.

Then more pavement. Olive looked up for any clue as to where she and her wolf friend were.

She was about to read off a green street sign, but the man plainly spoke, cutting her thoughts off.

"Last stop arriving: Kowkoata Town. You are about to be dropped off at Kowkoata Town."

Olive shuddered, seeing as the man just answered her question.

Kedamono dropped a mask, now showing a smeared worried expression. As it hit the ground, the man made a violent turn, the tires smelling more distinct. He sent a glare practically burning through a skull towards Kedamono. Kedamono wagged his tail slowly, fur puffed up in fear.

Olive quickly picked up the mask and held it in her lap, despite her being a bit scared of it.

The bus driver returned to his normal state. He made a final swift left turn and a new land was present.

Olive and even Kedamono marveled at it all. There were......people.

Normal living people, civilization, a sign that not all human contact was lost. Large buildings stormed everywhere.

It took Olive a few minutes to digest it all.

Things were, actually starting to get "better". Excluding Kedamono. Cold air carried leaves throughout the air. Kedamono shivered, tail wrapped around his leg.

Olive noticed and took that makeshift jacket out of the plastic bag. Handing it to Kedamono, his mask changed to show a poorly drawn smiling expression.

"Olive...thanks.

She signed back, 'You're welcome.."

Her vision went blurred again, clearing everything out her mind. She was seeing something else.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That same man! His face was even more scribbled and blurred out, but his hair and briefcase remained the same. It was him, but he was in the same standing position as Kedamono. He looked as though to be an office, receiving something white and folded. He unfolded it and out flowed a long coat. A lab coat, to be specific. He put it on and spun around a couple of times in it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Olive still had yet to figure out why she was experiencing these...moments. She wasn't present in any of them. Just a random blonde guy with a lab coat.

Did they know each other?

Was she supposed to be seeing these things,or was she just going daft?

Thoughts stopped racing as she tried to concentrate. The rain poured heavier and the both of them were standing underneath the glass bus stop.

She looked back and forth, only to spot an open restaurant by a cracked corner of pavement across the street.

Most restaurants, from Olive's perspective, did not like to open before 7:00 AM . But strangely this one was open. She took Kedamono and helped them both walk across the street. They stumbled into the tiny cafe, admiring it. As soon as she saw an open booth, she signed to Kedamono to 'sit there'.

Kedamono was more than happy to cooperate with that statement. He found himself walking a bit too much. In addition to his fever and inability to do mostly anything on his own, he legs started to sting. Not that regular static feeling, but a numb, swelling feeling. He didn't want to tell Olive, however as she didn't need any more stress than she was facing. The wolf sweated.

Olive sat down in the seat opposite from him. Not too many people were in the facility, but Olive kind of appreciated that fact. She didn't really want anybody questioning their new found presence. They all seemed to mind their own business, despite some people who stole a glance every now and then.

Not wanting to waste the money she had, Olive opened the small plastic bag and pulled the last loaf of bread she could find in the circus grounds. It was quite long, and the smell of it made Kedamono wag his tail slowly. His mask dropped to one with a pale red tint and nothing but an eerily drawn drooling expression on it.

She took the dagger out of the bag, and proceeded to split the bread into sevenths.  She handed one of pieces to him and put the rest in the bag, refusing to eat any. She watched uncomfortably as Kedamono still had the mask on, struggling to get the piece of bread into his mouth. Olive's stomach growled and she ignored it, staring now out of the window of the booth. The smooth sound of rain barely did anything to aid her.

She and Kedamono were a step closer into the plan. But now they needed the damn medical attention.  She herself, had a light cough from every now and then, specks of blood being thrown onto her hands.

As she looked back to Kedamono, she signed to herself,

'Today is going to be a long day.'
