The rest of the drive was silent with the devil in the backseat, two friends slowly reconnecting at a hospital, and a doctor with a bad past that was currently getting love advice from a pink wolf.

. . .

It's silly, isn't it? Quickly turning around to love someone you formerly hated. At least, that's what the man thinks. How almost everyone came to know about it, he was unsure. But knowing him, it was most likely his fault. Just how did he manage to avoid being straightforward for so long?

The pink wolf put her arm on the doctor's back, but it was quickly swiped off. Her mask dropped to show a smiling expression, baby pink tint around the cheeks. He scoffed, taking the bottle out of her claws.

"...And how am I supposed to do that?"

She started talking quieter, the man leaning in to hear.

...

Olive twiddled her fingers, sneaking glimpses of her auburn friend every now and then.

She would be lying, if she said she thought Eepop wasn't lying.

But Olive didn't want to be rash, and suddenly ask her that. It would upset her even more, no? All she had to support her argument was the faint red mark on her right cheek, that she casually covered with her hair, every few seconds.

Eepop, on the other hand, was standing by the wall next to the door away from Olive, an earphone in her left ear. On low volume, she silently listened to the audio she managed to capture in the bathroom several minutes ago. And she just stood there, taking it in. What was she to do with this now? How did she go from the small middle agent to someone who now has a big choice of fate in their hands?

Should she keep silent, avoid the devil's wrath and let things take its course?

Or do something, share this and finally get her off her shoulder? Well, she didn't even know if that would get rid of her. The young, black-haired woman had access to her father's side of money, and her father knew a lot of people. All Marifa had to do was pull a few strings, whine here and there a bit, and father usually sympathized, giving her whatever she needed. Also known as whatever she wanted.

Eepop was usually a very smart, straightforward young woman, but in this very moment, she was in parallels.

What would've happened if she had just said no to Mari in the first place?

Shit.

Olive waved to get her attention again, making her head rise up.

'At least you come get ice, no?'

Eepop smiled, about to refuse, but she saw the concern in Olive's eyes. Oh, how she fell for them. She couldn't say no. Previously mentioning that the auburn was her "bestie", the least she could do was look out for herself.

Olive smiled a bit, pointing to one of the many cabinets under the man's desk, knowing he had a small medical supply kit in there. The auburn put down her purse and did so accordingly, finding a small gray ice pack. She shook it, waiting for it to become cold, and then put it on her right cheek, putting the other supplies back.

"...Thanks."

'Why Eepop, not tell me?'

Eepop looked up at the dark-haired one.

"Tell you what?"

'How you get mark on face?'

Eepop laughed softly, standing up.

"I already told you, don't worry about it. It's nothing, okay? Thank you for the ice pack, though. It does help."

Olive made the action of huffing, but backed down.
