*Okami's POV*

The sound of knocking ricochets of my walls and brings me back to my senses, my heat dulling to a calm presence before the storm.

I make my way to the door, not opening but using the intercom to speak.

"Who is it?"

I hear rustling outside before a reply,

"It's Hotaru, Legosi's cousin."

Furrowing my eyebrows slightly before asking him what he wants.

"I need to talk to you, can I come in?"

I immediately shut the idea down.

"No you cannot, whatever you need to say can be said like this."

He growls loudly and says I'm being ridiculous, that he wants to talk about Legosi,

"-I need to know what happened after I left!! He's been acting strange, more than usual and I need to fix this before my parents beat my ass for breaking my cousin!!"

I growl back and tell Hotaru that he needs to leave.

"And here I thought you loved him you stubborn bitch-"

He gets cut off as a ferocious snarl rips from my lips.

"Get the fuck away from my apartment!!"

He roars and slams his fists against the door,

"Tell me what you did to him, you slut!"

The door shakes and I hear a quiet crack. Slamming my back against the door to keep it in place, I bellow out a reply.

"You need to leave!!! NOW"

He calls me every name under the sun, continuing to slam his hands against my door.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY COUSIN?!!!"

The door cracks sharply as his body slams against it. I quickly run, seeking shelter from the angered male.

"P-Please don't come any closer!"

I plead as he stalks towards me threateningly.

"Hotaru, STOP! I'm on my heat!!"

He immediately freezes and the blood drains from his face as he backs away,

"I'm sorry, I-I didn't know!"

He stutters out and heads quickly towards the door. I thank whatever high power there is that my heat didn't flare up.

But I spoke too quickly.

Screaming as my body begins to sear in complete and utter agony.

I see Hotaru flinch and snarl at himself, fighting with his inner beast for control, forcing his body to continue to stiffly walk towards the door until my heat roars to life once more.
