After the tour of the house Amity used to go to when she was little, she made her way to her bedroom, since she was still on her pajamas.
She pulled out a light pink, off the shoulders shirt with a collar framed in ruffles, and some skinny jeans even though it was summer.
As she went to change, Amity left the bedroom door open, but the bathroom door closed.
Once changed, Amity emerged from the bathroom to see a familiar, yet really cute boy sitting on her bed, staring at her.
"Um. . ." Amity swallowed and tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "What are you doing here? In my room?"
Derek looked startled. "I um. . .came to show you a tour like Lilah told me to, and your door was open so. . ."
Amity knew what he meant, even if he didn't finish his sentence. "But Grandma already gave me a tour."
"Did she show you the attic?"
"No. She said I wasn't old enough yet. I need to be eighteen."
"But she's gone. She just left for a meeting five minutes ago."
