Demi's POV

My heart dropped.

I cannot be pregnant.

"Nena..." Wilmer started.

No. This isn't happening.

I grabbed the box and emptied the rest of the pregnancy tests out on the floor, "I'll call you back in when I'm ready,"

"Demi-"

"I said I'll call you back in here when I'm ready," I snapped.

He nodded understandingly and walked back into my room.

I felt my heart start racing and my stomach churn. No way. Literally I can't be pregnant. This is the worst timing... Ever.

I started imagining scenarios of how I was going to tell my family that I was pregnant. I'm twenty two, I can't be raising a thirteen year old and a baby.

Five minutes later, after I took the rest of the tests, I called Wilmer back into the bathroom.

How would I explain this to Annie? Would she want a sibling? How am I going to be able to balance everything and now this?

"Demi, look.." Wilmer sighed in relief, pointing to the tests.

I opened my eyes and saw that they all read.. Negative.

IM NOT PREGNANT!

"Yes!" I smiled, hugging Wilmer, "Whew,"

"That.. That was close," Wilmer laughed, "We need to be more careful,"

"Yeah," I agreed, throwing all of the negatives away.

"I think we should still get you in the doctors just to make sure, though. It's odd for one to read positive and the rest negative," he said.

I nodded. It's better to be safe than sorry, "Yeah,"

"This," he said, holding up the positive stick, "almost gave me a heart attack!"

I laughed, "Pun intended,"

He sat the stick down on the counter and wrapped me up in his arms, "I love you so much,"

I looked into his big brown eyes, "I love you more," and I meant every word.

Annie's POV

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and began walking out of the school with Madison, "and then it was like he disappeared. It seriously was, like, a figment of my imagination.."

"That's so weird," Madison agreed, "I didn't even see him once,"

I never seen Conner again after our encounter in the hallway. Yeah, I like it that way, I guess. But, I still need to talk to him. No I don't. Yes I do. I don't know.

I scanned the parking lot until I saw Demi's car, "There's Mom!"

We both jogged over to Demi's car and tossed my backpack in the backseat.

"Hey, baby girl! Hey, Mads! How was your day?"

Me and Madison began filling her in on everything that happened from first hour to seventh.

"Woah!" Demi said, "Sounds like you guys liked your first day!"

"But," I said, heart sinking, "Guess what else happened.."

Demi's face fell as she looked at me, then back to the road, "What happened?"

I told her what happened with Conner in the hallway and about his scar that lined his forehead.
