Chases Pov
November 5th 9:33 P.m
The feeling of numbness feels so close to me.
Sitting across the pool is Echo and Abel having a conversation staring at the stars
Alex sitting on the left of me and Emerald on the right.
I play with my feet in the water as my mind wanders with the ripples surrounding my toes.
Emerald: why does he do that (she shifts the position on the concrete allowing her feet to enter the water) he treats her poorly when she's treating him well and nice when she treats him poorly.
Alex: His heart is tied to the chains that are her.
The swirls in the water seem to be growing larger as the conversation continues, almost as if the swirls are going to suck me into the pool.
I grab onto both Emerald and Alex scared that I'm sinking in.
Emerald: Are you okay Chase (she grabs my arm causing me to feel warmth through out my body)
The chatter throughout the party is making it hard to focus on what's real
I nod my head frantically
Alex: that doesn't tell us you're okay. (He chuckles tossing what ever is in his red cup down his throat)
Emerald: Not now alex.
He closes his mouth causing me to turn my head back towards Emerald.
Emerald: dude his pupils are fucking huge
I turn to look at him causing his eyes to widen.
Both of their eyes meeting one another and then quickly snapping their heads in the direction of Abel and Echo.
