What He Is Like Meeting Your Parents

-Lets just say, when you told Eugene that you wanted him to meet your parents, he was a nervous wreck.

-He was scared they wouldn't like him, for some reason.

-He is overall is a more insecure kind of man, so you kept reassuring him that your parents would like you.

-Why wouldn't they though?

-Eugene was a medic, Paratrooper in the army, and after the war he was a construction contractor, nothing not to like.

-Plus with all the stories of how Eugene was so sweet to you and how he was just the man for you that you have told your parents.

-You were sure they would have loved him.

-Though, even with all the reassuring you could do, Eugene was still highly nervous.

-He might not show it on the outside.

-But boy does he feel it on in the inside.

-The way you chose for Eugene to meet your parents was the common way of bringing Eugene over to your parent's house for dinner.

-He dressed up all nice, combed and gelled his hair.

-He even contemplated wearing his Army greens to the dinner.

-This poor soul was so panicky before the two of you left to meet your parents.

-He asked about 50 times if: "Do I look okay?" "What if they don't like me Y/N?" "Should I bring something over?"

-What an antsy little Cajun he was.

-You practically had to drag him into the car because he kept stalling.

-On the car ride there he kept chewing his lip and tapping the steering wheel.

-And when you two went to the door and rang the door bell, he kept rocking on his heels.

-You had to hold his hand and give it a squeeze to get him to calm down.

-Poor Eugene didn't calm down a lot, but enough to get himself to sit still.

-Lets be honest, he is hundred percent praying in his head the entire time.

-When your parents opened the door, he was awkward at first but soon warmed up.

-Your mom immediately loved Eugene.

-She kept calling him so handsome and built and telling you how lucky of a man Eugene was.

-Eugene's pale cheeks went pink as he just muttered "Thank you" and "I know, I'm very lucky," every couple of times.

-You just sat there giggling as your mother bombarded him and your father just stood there watching with his arm crossed.

-Your father of course had to be that tough dad and be all protective of his baby girl.

-And Eugene was seen squirming beneath your fathers hard gaze. Trying to avoid it the best he could.

- When it came to dinner, he was pretty quiet in the beginning. Only speaking when he was spoken to practically.

-And when your dad started asking him questions, you would swear he was more scared of your father than any Drill Sergeant he had seen in his life.

-When he answered questions he tried his best to straighten out his shoulders and speak clearly.

-But a few times his voice cracked a few times which caused you and your mother to giggle together.

-Soon your father began to warm up to Eugene, and Eugene began to warm up to your parents.

-Of course when all of you had eaten and such, your mother began questioning him about marriage and having babies. Like most excited mothers.

-Lets just say you didn't have the best luck with men before Eugene.

-This caused you to try to shush her whilst both of you blushed profusely.

-Eugene couldn't get himself to really answer out of nervousness and the fact that your father had been sitting just three feet away from him.

-Soon your father hushed your mother, and both you and Eugene let out a sigh of relief.

-Once dinner was over, Eugene and your father that into a big discussion about the war and such. A bunch of guys stuff.

-You were happy that they were getting along so you and your mom got up to wash the dishes.

-When the two of you got ready to leave, your mom kept hugging Eugene and your dad gave him a firm handshake.

-Of course adding the "Take care of my daughter," before saying goodbye.

-On the car ride home, he was all smiley.

-You were happy, and you told him that you knew your parents would like him.

-The two of you went to bed all happy, and especially Eugene.
