I put my phone in my pocket and reach out with a shaky hand to open the front door.

Its locked.

'Right.. Keys keys keys do i have a key...' I thought to myself. I kicked up the doormat and used the spare, slowly unlocking the door.

I step into the house, immediately earning a deathly glare from my dad. I feel my heart begin to beat fast as my body goes into fight or flight mode.

Father stands up, a mischievous grin and evil glint in his eyes. He towers over me.

I feel myself being slammed back into the wall, "WHY ARE YOU HERE YOULLLIL SHIT" He screamed.

I flinch a bit, his breath smells like alchohol, "s-school canceled because of a s-sickness." I mentally curse myself for stuttering.

I feel him drag me by my shirt and throw me to the ground, kicking me in the stomach.

I hold back a yell, knowing he will get more mad. He hits me. And kicks me. And punches me.

And finally its over. He throws me to my room and I quietly lock the door. I limp over to my bathroom, observing the damage.

No bruises on the face, just a bloody nose. Several bruises on my shoulders and torso. I feel my throat tighten and my eyes blur with tears as I stare at myself.

I didnt want to be here but now, I could not legally leave.

I clean up my bloody nose and sit on my bed, exhausted but unable to sleep.
