~ C h a p t e r 18 ~

~ Day three ~

Izuku was done for the school day and was almost home, he was just a few roofs away.

The smile he had on today slowly disappeared as he remembered he had to teach heroics tomorrow and Katsuki was in that class! What was he to do? Izuku sighed knowing he would probably spend all night talking to himself in front of his mirror pretending for it to be his childhood friend.

That's not the worst part! All Might was going to be there. Though it's expected, Izuku can't help but hope the man suffers from a heart attack and early death tonight.

Okay, so maybe Izuku hates the guy. Okay, he really despised the man along with his friend Kai. The two of them were on their way to get some food for the dinner they were planning a few months back when a slime villain came out from under the bridge they were walking under. Long story short, Kai used her bubble quirk and they were fine after she bubbled the slime up.

Then the supposed hero came out and collected it and Izuku asked a question. A simple question.

"Can... can I become a hero without a quirk?"

The only reason Izuku asked this was because him and Kai were talking about it earlier about why he couldn't do what he wanted. She was telling him that yes he could, and he just wanted to prove that everyone else thought he couldn't.

But the heroes cold no hurt. And it hurt bad, especially coming from someone else's mouth.

Though, Hikari is proving them all wrong. Even though they don't know Hikari is quirkless...

Izuku shook his head, it was stupid he was biased on him, but who would blame him. He broke his dreams.

And he is loud and unpractical- yelling his moves out so loud, like why? Everyone will know what you're doing and will easily dodge! Just distract the villain and get the job done so you don't cause a lot of damage.

Also another reason he and Kai hate the man; he took Kai's credit. He said she didn't have a hero license but she did- she showed him! She actually went to a hero high school and passed, but she decided food was more important to her.

But the man still took the credit- for what? Fame? Money? Izuku didn't get it. Kai actually filed a lawsuit but the police paid her to not do anything.

They took the money but they still have the case- they should have had them signed some contract or something! Because Izuku knew they were going to sue him at the worst time for the pro-hero.

Izuku without thinking jumps through his opened window with a roll, landing on his feet with a small smile, he turns to see Eri, "Hey Eri-"

Izuku pales when he sees Kai staring at him and blinking a bunch and then looking down at her coffee cup as she inspected it, "Eri how old is this coffee?"

"So you are telling me, that this entire time, you have been saving people and didn't tell me?"

"I'm so sorry Kai! You weren't supposed to find out this way-"

The bluenette laughed, "Don't worry about it Zuku- well Izuku now I guess. I always kinda suspected something was up..."

Eri tilted her head at the girl in confusion as she played with a quarter in her hand by moving it constantly, "What do you mean?"

Kai nervously shrugged, "Sometimes I keep the store open longer to catch Silv, so by the time I leave I see someone jumping out of your window."

Izuku blinked before laughing and falling to the ground; he was an idiot. A huge fucking idiot.
