Kota was seated in the main office of the hero school called UA with Mandala who was representing their hero group. The other three were out and about saving lives and blah blah blah.

Kota could care less. Well, okay that's a lie. He was nervous for them. What if they get hurt! Or what if they... die.

What if they leave him just like his mother and father did?

Kota shook his head as he glared at the heroes in the room. All these heroes wanted to save people, but would selfishly risk their lives? People care about them, can't they see that? People want them alive!

And most of them look so... flashy. What's the point- they are practically screaming to the villains where they are!

It's so... stupid. Everything was so so so stupid. He clutched his backpack, he didn't want to be here. So many people in this building would die- everyone would eventually.

Unless someone had an immortal quirk, but Kota doubts that.

Everyone Kota will ever meet will die eventually. They would just one day be gone.

He would have to live without them- and that wasn't fair. He just wanted... to not worry about this. He didn't like the nightmares he woke up to of his parents dying in different ways, or his guardians dying.

He wouldn't... be able to handle that.

But would... anyone care that way if he died? If a villain killed him on the streets, would anyone truly care?

Sure they might miss him, but eventually they'll move on and forget. That made Kota sad.

He didn't want to be forgotten.

But it would be for the best- for everyone to feel better.

Kota didn't want to forget his parents.

He wouldn't allow himself to. Mandala said it's not forgetting them if he moved on.

But Kota thinks it is- how would a child be able to comprehend that?

He just thought he had to keep reliving the pain over and over so he could remember them.

He had to keep remembering them. No one else appreciated them like he did- he loved his parents!

But they left him.

They left him...

Kota clenched his tiny arms around his small red backpack he was forced to take with him that was filled with some snacks and waters.

Mandala wanted to take him around the city while they were here.

Kota shuffled in his seat as he bit his lip, he wanted to leave...

He glanced to his side where Mandala was sitting and carefully and slowly reached an arm out. He didn't want the others to see him in whatever business they were doing.

He tugged on her red sleeve causing her to look down, "Kota?" She whispered questionably as the boy nodded; "Can I go walk around?" He asked.

Usually he was allowed to walk everywhere back home to the women nodded- it made sense, he probably wasn't used to sitting in boring meetings.

She brought a hand to his red hat and gave it a tug down with a smile, "Just come back soon, okay?"

Kota nodded and quickly walked out of the room that felt heavy. It felt like people were watching him. He didn't like being watched.
