Katsuki's glare seemingly pinned Izuku into place, all the greenette could do was keep his mouth shut.

A few long seconds ticked by, "Well?!" Katsuki exclaimed, his voice rising, "Where were you!"

Izuku slightly flinched back, "Kacchan...I'm sorry-"

"Sorry for what! Tell me what the fuck you did," Katsuki crossed his arms, his facial expression was cold and almost unmoving-showing no emotion besides his displeasure. "I was waiting for an hour-I thought maybe they came back and took you Izuku!"

The greenette shrunk back, his back hitting the wall. Though, his mind was racing. Yes, Katsuki was mad at him, though...

Katsuki seemed worried as well...so Izuku knew he shouldn't take this too personally. But it hurt, it really did.

"I was out...Kacchan, I'm really sorry for worrying you, I should have left a note..." Izuku's words were softly spoken in a warm, welcoming tone. He didn't want his anxiety making him stutter, Izuku wanted to be strong. So he focused on how he spoke every word, especially because he didn't want to agitate Katsuki more.

"Izuku!" The blond whisper-yelled, his eyes glaring daggers at Izuku. "You told me that you were done being Hikari! You...you told me..."

Katsuki shook his head, "You lied to me Izuku! I can't believe I fucking trusted you!" Anger took over his words, he barely even noticed what he said before he noticed Izuku's eyes glisten, a single tear sliding down Izuku's face and onto the floor.

Katsuki wanted to stop-to reverse what he just said but-

"Kacchan...I didn't lie to you...I did stop...but then I really really missed it..." Izuku's throat tightened and his gaze zeroed in on the now very interesting floor as he started to fight to keep his sobs down and away. He whipped his tears, a small sniffle escaping him.

"I'm...I'm sorry I got you so angry, Kacchan...I-I can leave if you want..." Izuku's soft murmurs barely made their way to Katsuki's ears. The blond tightened his fist, clenching the bed's sheets. He was still upset, but...

"Don't you dare fucking try to leave again," Katsuki spoke out of gritted teeth, his mind immediately remembering when Izuku attempted to run away. To run away from him...

Just the thought made his anger worsen.

Izuku couldn't help but drop his mask on the floor as the air in the room seemed to stiffen. He wrapped his arms around himself defensively, though he fought with himself to keep eye contact with Katsuki.

"Kacchan. . . .I won't leave if you don't want me to," Izuku whimpered out as he let go of himself, letting his hands go by his sides, "Kacchan...I know this is about me not staying true to my word...and I know you're angry," Izuku chocked back a sob, his body slightly trembling. He knew this was a bad idea! Why...why couldn't he just keep pretending.

No. . .Izuku knew he had to stand up for himself. Katsuki was just angry, he just needed to explain himself. Because Katsuki probably thinks Izuku is untrustworthy now.

"But...I really really don't want to be a hero, Kacchan!" Izuku's voice was shaking, his eyes shut so he didn't have to see Katsuki's reaction. "I-I don't want to leave Hikari-myself-behind! I worked...I worked so hard, Kacchan...and I don't want it to get ripped away from me!" Izuku was trying to keep his voice firm, he was trying to show Katsuki that he really cared about this.

Katsuki's grip on the sheets lessened, his eyes scanning the greenette in silence before he slowly stood up, and started to walk over to Izuku. "I-I was going to tell you later-I promise! But I didn't want to wake you up...I'm so so so sorry Kacchan!"
