CHAPTER 6: A Chance...

JUNGKOOK'S POV

"W-what?!" I asked with wide eyes

"You didn't hear what I said? 'Taehyung's going to talk to you after he changes his clothes'" Yoongi repeated with annoyance in his voice

"Where?" I asked

"Here, in front of us" Jin says and I grew nervous at that

"Younghoon mind linked him, so yeah" Jin said and smiled teasingly at me while I groaned

I continued to groan and whine when my friends kept teasing me until I plugged my headphones on without music just to block out the tease and noise from my friends.

Then, I opened my eyes and removed my headphones as I smelled my mate's scent with another alpha, must be his father. I thought, and I was right, because I saw Alpha Kim along with Taehyung coming down from the stairs with a male, named Bogum from what I remember.

"What's happening appa?" Jin asks as he stands up

"Alpha Jungho needs me and I'm taking Hyungshik at the Crescent Canine Pack right now, so I'm leaving Taehyung in charge of Solar Artic since your eomma also wants to come, because she wants to see Luna Lily" Alpha Kim says and Jin nods

"But why not take Bogum hyung? Younghoon will be the next beta alongside Taehyung" Jin says

"I have decided to make Bogum hyung my beta as Youngjoon hyung will be a council along with Tzuyu noona as they are a Kim blood" Taehyung says

"Am I involved too?" Jin asks

"Depends wether the matter is serious or not, since you have to stay with Namjoon hyung" Taehyung says and Jin nods

"Are you sure you can take over the pack while I'm gone?" Alpha Kim asks Taehyung

"Yes appa, I didn't go to Havoc if you weren't to trust me" Taehyung says as Alpha Kim nods

"Alright, but if there's trouble re-"

"Remember to light the flare to signal uncle Daehyun, I know, I know" Taehyung says

"Now get going, eomma is already at the car, you do know how she is if you're late, now go!" Taehyung says as he pushes Alpha Kim out the pack house

After we all hears a sound of a car driving away, Taehyung told something to a guy named Bogum then sat beside Jin and looked at me. I gulped as I remembered he was going to talk to me.

"So, I'm only going to talk to you because of my siblings, as they also linked me that you got jealous over Lisa as she was clinging to me" Taehyung smirked

I blushed and mentally cursed at Taehyung's brother Younghoon for telling him that. But I decided to tell the truth.

"Yes, I'm jealous when other wolves cling onto you, happy?" I confessed

"Lisa is our cousin's mate, and, she's my childhood friend" Taehyung says and I nodded

"But back to the real deal, Younghoon hyung says that I should give you a chance" Taehyung says as he looked serious

"You don't want to?" I asked him

"Listen Jungkook, I have to be really honest with you now, you see these marks?" He asked me and I nodded

"Yeah, you said those were from me, how?" I asked

"These are from your one night stands" he said and I grew more confused

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Whenever you mate with unmated wolves, I get these burnt marks all over my upper body, and my family and the ones who live here knows about it" Taehyung says and my eyes widen as he said that

He stood up and removed his shirt exposing the burnt marks on his body, but more marks were on his chest and neck, I could hear my wolf howl in pain and guilt as I looked at each one of the burnt marks.

"T-Taehyung, I-"

"It's ok, I'm used to it anyway" Taehyung says as he wears his shirt again

"I-I'm so so sorry! I-I should've done that! I-I should've listen to my wolf!" I said as tears welled up in my eyes

I buried my head in my hands and started crying silently, I could feel the eyes looking at me until I felt someone caressing my head, and by judging by the scent, it's Taehyung. I looked up at him and saw him with a small smile.

"It's ok, it's not your fault, and

I'll give you a chance to prove yourself to me"
