From Zowie To Zuwaira

Chapter two

"Yeah...................yes ,.......and.,it's a goal" Khalid yelled making Al'amin hiss and dropped the pad

"Eyaa...don't be sad little one it takes a lot of energy and sacrifice to be able to beat the one and only game champion" he said dusting his shoulder

"Oh please you only won because I wasn't ready" Al'amin defended making Khalid to laugh which got Al'amin annoyed

"What are you guys doing" Zayad asked taking a seat making Khalid and Alamin to turn to him
"Video game" Alamin answered

"Can I join" Zayad asked making Khalid and Alamin to look at him again
"Your partner isn't here" Khalid reminded
"I can see that" he said
"But you only play video game with us when she is here"Al'amin said
"Must I do every thing with Zowie,  I can see that she is not here ,can't I play with my brothers without her" Zayad said clearly annoyed
"Okay sorry... We where just asking its not every time this kind of things happen" Khalid said

"So can I join"he asked again
"Yeah sure," Khalid handed him the pad

"But lemmi warn you am a legend in this game so don't be sad when I win" Khalid said

"Cheat" Al'amin muttered

"What did you say" Khalid asked
"Nothing" he muttered

Half way to the game all their eyes were on the screen so engrossed Khalid was already sweating Zayad was surprisingly good
"Just one goal and I bit the ultimate champion" Zayad teased

"Oh shut up"
"Eehnnn ,yeah..........eehnnn " Khalid was yelling getting up slowly
"Goal" he yelled at the top of his lungs and him and Alamin high fave they hated losing to the twins
"He won,he beat you..oh yeah" Alamin sang dancing

"I would have won if you hadn't distracted me" Zayad defended with a pout
If Zowie was there she would fight will both of them till they do a rematch and Zayad wins. Their team was unstoppable
Al'amin and Khalid kept on rejoicing

Zayad stood up and was about to go up when he spotted Zowie looking at them. She hated not being their with him but she knows he will just annoy her saying she changed bla bla bla
Why can't he just be happy for her she found someone who loves her a lot.
Zayad ignored her and left to his room

2 days later

Zowie was sitting on the table using her phone and ignoring the food in front of her when a guy approached her
"Hello" he said she looked at him and back to her phone
"Sorry am new here can I seat" he asked but she still ignored him and he took it as a yes
The guy kept his food on the table and was about to sit down when someone pushed him to the floor. Zowie looked up to see an angry looking yaseer

"How dare you think of seating there" yaseer bellowed punching the guy and getting all the students attention
"Yaseer don't do this leave him" Zowie said
"What ....?I should leave him ,this skunk bag wanted to seat with you "Yaseer said beating the guy
Zowie stood up telling him to stop it but he didn't until the guy was bleeding
Zowie looked at him disappointed carried her bag and left while people stare and Zayad followed her

" hey Zowie wait "he called
" leave me alone Zayad"she snapped walking away
"Why aren't you seeing what is clear to everyone except you" he said hovering her
"Is that what you want for some stranger to have some stupid ironic claim on you like a price tag and calling it love. "
She glared at him moving her fingers to his chest
"Stay away from my life" she gritted poking his chest hard walking away brushing her shoulder to his
Zayad let out a sigh and closed his eyes

Everyone was seated on the dinning table well except from Zowie
"Zayad where is your sister" Ammi asked
"I dont know probably in her room" he shrugged
Ammi looked at him for some seconds before she  headed to the stairs. She pushed the door to Zowie's  room and saw her daughter on the bed laying flat on her stomach letting out a frustrating growl
"Hey baby are you okay...its time for dinner"Ammi said
" Asalamu Alaikum Ammi,am fine"she said sitting up.
Her mother look closely at her daughter. She loves her daughter a lot because she was so down to earth.
"Are you having a fight with Zayad" she blurted
"Huh...no we are not fighting why did you ask" she lied with a shrug
"Nothing I just notice you guys haven't been hanging out a lot, your regular bickering, argument,attacking Alamin when Khalid is not around.....well and a lot more ,you guys aren't as close as you used to be"
"Eehmm...maybe its because of school we have been busy lately" she said
"Okay ,if you say so"
"So what's for dinner let's go am starving" she said changing the topic with a smile
Ammi pinch her cheek and left the room with zowie trailing behind
The sound of Alamin and Khalid's laughter filled the room
"What's so funny" Ammi asked
"It is an inside joke Ammi you can't understand " Alamin said making Ammi glare at him
"Zowie you have been scarce oo" Khalid said pulling her ear
"Aaaa hamma Khalid" she whined holding her ear
Zayad stayed their silent
"Hamma Khalid did you notice Adda and hamma zayad haven't been talking lately"Alamin chipped Zayad and Zowie exchange a look and went back to there food
" yeah, I noticed "he shrugged
"So are guys like fighting "Alamin asked
"Can you please mind your business Al'amin" Zowie declared
"Sorry am just asking"he pouted
" hey Alamin have you watched It "Khalid asked changing the topic. He hate seeing Al'amin sad

"It?" He asked
"Yeah its a  horror movie" he said grinning

"and the name is it"he asked
" yes"
"Oh I haven't watched it but I want to now" he said smiling
"Okay we will watch it later then"
"No I want to go to cinema" he whined
"Its late" he pointed out
"Dont worry I can wait till this weekend" Alamin said with a wide grin

"Talking about weekends,.... Khalid when is your flight" Ammi asked coming to the dinning with Abbi trailing behind who they all greeted

"Flight?" Alamin asked all of a sudden sober

"Yeah, am travelling on Sunday,but I can still take you to the cinema on Saturday" Khalid said quickly
"Where are you going" Alamin asked the frown still there like he was about to cry
"Am going to Sudan"he said looking everywhere but him
Alamin didn't talk as he dropped his spoon and went up to his room
Khalid released a sigh duking his head low
"Ammi why did you have to bring that up now" Khalid whined
"Oh come on Khalid you are going to have to tell him sooner or later and this important . its business" Abbi said
Khalid looked up and notice Zayad. He was trying so hard not to laugh. When his eyes met with Zowie she let out a small chuckle but covered it up with a cough
"Are you guys laughing" Khalid asked in disbelief
"What no" Zowie quickly said just then zayad began to laugh and zowie joined along making Ammi and Abbi join them
"What's so funny" Khalid asked
"Its an inside joke" Zayad declared
"Seriously you guys have to see the way you look" Zowie said
"Like a man telling his wife that he is getting a second wife" Zayad said and him and zowie did a high five laughing their eyes out
"Ammi you too" Khalid said
She raised her hands in surrender and moved to the kitchen
"You guys should go back to your silence ,I  think I prefer it" Khalid said taking Alamins food with him
"Awwn now he is gonna go apologies to his love for getting a second wife" Zowie teased
"He is even taking him his food,this so emotional" Zayad laughed
Khalid turned and gave them a hard glare and walked away
All of a sudden their laughter died down making everything awkward. They couldn't even look at each other anymore. The atmosphere was suddenly thick
Zayad cleared his throat
"Am full" he said dropping his food and going upstairs
Abbi notice the change but didn't push it
"Me too" Zowie said getting up

It is finally time for Khalid to go. He took Alamin to the movies and they had a lot of fun
"Okay Ammi I promise to call you the moment I land" Khalid reassured her
"Make sure you eat properly" she added
"Yes Ammi" he added
"Hamma Khalid dont forget to buy me those shoes I asked" Zowie chipped making him pull her ear
"Ammi" she whined
"I hate it when you pull my ear" she added
"I know that's why I do it"
"I will buy you those shoes if you promise me you and your twin brother won't trouble Al'amin" he said
"I make no such promises" Zayad said coming with Al'amin
"See, hamma Khalid I told you they hate me" Alamin said
"Don't worry they won't do anything to you or else no shoes for Missy here and no hover board for Mr" he said referring to Zayad and Zowie
"Okay fine we won't trouble him" they said
"Okay bye kiddo" Khalid said ruffling Alamin's hair
"Do you really have to go" Al'amin asked for the umpteenth time
"We have talked about this Al'amin, its business" Khalid said
"Okay" Al'amin said hugging him staying there for a long time
"Okay layla and majnun ,you will soon miss your flight" Zowie said
"Bye,I swear if you guys dare touch him while am away ....well you know what I can do" Khalid threatened
"Yeah we know,bye" Zayad said

"Bye" Zowie waved and he got into the care and just like that he was gone

"So?" Zowie teased turning to Al'amin who was about to cry with a mischievous smile
"Leave me" he said walking away making zowie laugh
