Dean and I walk into the compound, along with all the others that didn't get in. Not gonna lie, I'm kind of happy Noah didn't make it as well. His ego was too big for his good.

"Dean," I whisper

"Yeah?" He whispers back

"Do not trust anyone here. I might be Evelyn's daughter but there are a lot of factionless who don't give a crap" I tell him

"Got it. Stick together?" He says, holding out his hand for a fist bump

I laugh and say "Always" while fist-bumping him back

When we walk in my mom greets everyone who came. It's not only the Dauntless cuts that came today, but it's also all the factions. Everyone who didn't make it into their factions is here. When my mom sees me she's surprised

"Rose? Dean? What are you two doing here?" She asks us

"We didn't make it," I tell her

"How is that even possible? Didn't you have the best time for the sims Rose?" She asks

"Yup, I did. But this one ass took it away from me" I tell her

"Oh my god. Well, I'm so sorry" She says

"It's ok. Tobias is working on it" I tell her

I go to the initiate dorms, where everyone who made it is getting their stuff and making the beds. I see Liam and I go up to him and pin him against the wall.

"What the hell?!" He yells

"Shut up," I say with my teeth clenched "You're going to come with me, and you're going to keep your mouth quiet. Got it?"

He moves quickly to try to get out of my grasp but I pin him again, harder. His face turns red from the sudden impact and I say it again.

"Got it?" I say

He nods, and I grab him and take him outside of the dorms where no one's looking.

"How did you do it?" I ask, still grabbing his arm

"Do what?" He asks, playing stupid

"Don't try to be smart with me. How did you switch the ranks?" I tell him

"I don't know what you're talking about" He grins

I pin him up against the wall again, my arm on his neck. He moves until giving up and staying still.

"Who helped you?" I ask him. He stays quiet, and I decide it's time to take it further. I pull out the tazer I have in my pocket and put it against him.

"I'm gonna ask you one last time. Who helped you?" I ask. When he stays quiet again, I turn on the tazer and shock him. He groans and falls to the floor.

"You gonna tell me now?" I ask again. Again, he stays quiet so I turn on the tazer ready to shock him again but then he shocks me.

"Wait wait! I'll tell you" He tells me, putting up his arm like its gonna block me

"Who helped you?" I ask

"My brother, Peter," He says.

Peter? Peter was able to help him? How was he even able to do that?

"How did he do it?" I ask him

"He broke into Max's office and edited the list right before it was sent out to announce at the results last night. That's why no one questioned it" He says, out of breath from being tazed.

"Okay" Is all I say, before getting up

"You know, I can report you for taking me," He says still out of breath

I crouch back down and bring my face closer to his.

"I'd like to see you try," I tell him "Maybe then you'll learn you do not mess with my sister. Because I can kill you for it."

He stays quiet, and I leave him there, lying on the floor. I decide I want to go for Peter next, but he's not gonna so somewhere private to talk to me. I have to have someone else talk to him first so then I can grab him when he's not looking. I decide Jack is the best person for it. I look around for him and then see him sitting by the chasm by himself.

"Hey, Jack" I go up to him and say

"What?" He asks. As he turns to me I see he's upset

"What's wrong with you?" I ask, a little too harshly

He gives me that look furrowing his eyebrows saying 'Seriously?'. "If you didn't know, Rose broke up with me before she left," he says, turning back to the water.

"Oh," I say. I didn't know my sister broke up with him. I guess she just wanted him to move on and be happy with her so far away. "Listen, kid," I say sitting down "Rose loves you, ok?"

"She wouldn't have ended it if she did," Jake tells me

"Jack, I know it may not seem like it now, but she did it to make sure you were happy. She knew that you wouldn't be happy enough if you guys had to be separated for so long." I tell him

"That's the point, I'm happy every time I see her. It doesn't matter if it takes a month, I just want to see her" He says. He sounds likes he's about to cry.

"Then let's get her back," I say

"How?" He asks

"We get Peter"
