"Ok im ready now what?!" "It's a secret." He said looking at me smiling. I just look at him and just now my head looking all confused. "Let's go!" He said heading for the door. I take off after him. We get into his car. About 10 minutes later I look up from my phone. We were driving in the woods. "What is Colby doing? Were are we going?! Is he gonna kill me?!" I thought to myself. "We-were are we going?" I ask laughing nervous. "Its a surprise" he said smerking. My stomach starts to fill with nervousness.
About 2 mintues later we get out of the car. I look around around tinse. "Come on!" Colby says in a whisper. He holds out my hand to grab. I grabbed it. Right when I did I felt instint regret. As he gripped my hand tighter. He lead me into the woods were therr was no one in sight. "Think Kate think! What do I do in this situation?! Do I run? Do I just go with the flow?! I dont know what to do! What if he really does try to kill me?! Am I just overreacting?" Panic ran through my body.
We walked for afew minutes. But those few minutes felt like an eternity. Waiting for something to happen. "Will this be a good or bad surprise?"
We keep walking and then something comes into view. It looked like a judge building. The closer we got Colbys hand gripped mine tighter. He stopped walking so I did as well. He let go of my hand. He grabbed his backpack that he holding on his back. "What is he gonna pull out of his bag?! Is this were I'm gonna die?! Is gonna kill me in the mifdle of no were so no one can hear?!" Were the only thoughts inside my head.
Colby stops going through his packback. He whispers "Found it." He pulls out a... flashlight? That was not what I was expecting! "Why d-do we need t-the f-flashlights?" I ask trying my best not to studder. "So we can see were were going." We says with a chuckle. "And don't talk so loud someone might hear us!" "Why are we here?! What are you gonna do to me?!" I say not even thinking. A tear runs down my face. "What's wrong?! Why are you crying?! Im not gonna do anything to you. Shhh calm down." He says pulling me into a hug. His words and his hug brought me so much comfort.
We continued walking for a few more minutes. Colby grabbing around my waist. Holding me close to him. Just then I realized as we went closer to the building. I realized it looked like it hadn't been used for years. There was graffiti all over the walls, the walls were all torn up. Everything was over- grown. "What is this place?" I ask whispering.
