I felt so light weighted this morning. Oh yeah, now I remember. I forgot to eat last night and now my stomach is paying for my sin. I quickly came down from my bed and made my way to the bathroom. I had a quick hot shower and ran my hand through my curly hair, I wanted to straighten it but nah I looked perfect.

I quickly brushed and ran downstairs to have breakfast. Mom's cooking filled the air with a mouth watering aroma which really wasn't helping me right now, but thank goodness she dished it out almost immediately.

I hated walking to school it's so far from where I lived and so I had to wait for Jake or Addison most times to drive me in their cars but most times I felt like it was a burden and thank God it's my last year.

"Hey, Marco, Hop In" Addison called from behind as she slowly drove up to me.

"Oh hey, oh my God! I totally forgot to do the project" I said as I entered the car.

"Did you do it?" I asked as we zoomed off.

"Yeah it's at the back just check one of the books there" she said not removing her eyes from the road.

"Thanks" I said as I turned back only to see a huge pile of books.

"I did not have enough time to get myself together I was up all night, watching Netflix" she said smiling to herself.

I looked at her and she glanced at me.

"What... don't blame me... I had to complete my favorite series" she said more to herself than me.

"I never said anything" I said raising my hands up in defence. I quickly made my way through the pile of books and found the project.

First period went by pretty fast. I guess today was one of those days that just seem to swing by without anything exciting happening.

I sat down at my table with Addison and Jake; my best friends right from middle school.

"Mmm, the way you talk about him makes this guy a god" Jake said with a chuckle.

"Whatever, just saying. It would be cool to finally have another rich kid over here" Addison replied and took another sip from her coke.

"Who's coming?" I asked and they both looked at me like I came from another universe.

"What?. Am I bald?" I asked fearing for the worst as I touched my hair.

"A new Student is coming and from what I've heard, I think  he's very rich. How did you not know about that when it was announced in the group chat?" Addison asked with a little chuckle.

"Oh, I see. I guess this year isn't gonna be so bad after all" I said, taking a bite from my food.

I really hated the fact that this school's society- scratch that, almost all society has made some people a god amongst others leaving those who don't have it all to suffer. Just like my Parents. I have really bad memories which I've witnessed happen to my Mom and Dad, an awful sight which I hated to be reminded of and I hate bring your kid to work day as well for that same very reason. It has made me hate rich people even more.

My mind went back home and I remember we are really having some financial issues which makes me wonder if I'm going to the university or not because my Dad's job isn't doing really well for some time now. Dereck is already in the university and he is also having some issues paying a few debts.
