"Momma, I gotta go." I hopped up from the bed and slipped my feet into my flats that went along with the black, mid-thigh length, form fitting dress I wore.
"What's wrong?"
"He sittin' outside my grandma house." I muttered, grabbing the black bag that had his Christmas gifts in it.
My momma paused, getting quiet before she busted out laughing. "What the fuck did you to him?"
"Mama!"
"Y'all comin' out here for New Years?"
"I don't know, I gotta ask him."
"Ok, baby. Don't fuck around and lose yo' virginity in no bucket. Mike did that shit to me one time." She referred to my older brother's daddy.
My jaw dropped before I busted out laughing. "Bye mama." I told her and then hopped off the phone, heading out my room and towards the front door.
Most of my family was all in the family room watching the football game, so I doubt they would notice I was gone.
I walked outside, and just like I expected, there was Artist's beat up Buick, almost like he was waiting for me.
"What the fuck is wrong wit'chu?" I asked, getting into his car, hearing the radio playing lowly, and gazing into his red, low set eyes. "You high?" He cleared his throat, but didn't answer me, instead, he pulled away from the curb, driving off down the block. "You kidnappin'?"
"You ignored me for two and a half weeks." He shrugged, I huffed, sitting in my seat. "You ain't see my call go through?"
He looked over at me, as he parked his car about a block away from my grandma's and parked. "You'on hear me?"
"I saw the call Artist," I sighed. "I just ignored it."
"Why, man?"
I shrugged, fiddling with my nails. "Cause you a liar and don't nobody feel like dealin' wit that shit. And you cheatin' on me-"
"I gotta be wit'chu to cheat."
"Uh-" I paused. Wow. So that's how he felt this whole time? Lemme know something. Instead of responding, I sat up and reached for the door handle, where he hit the locks, locking me inside his trap house on wheels.
Really, the car was dirty as shit.
"You mad now?"
I lied, shaking my head. I mean, I wasn't mad, I was more hurt than I was mad. But I wasn't letting him know that.
Fuck him.
"I want chu to let me out this car."
"For what?"
I shrugged. "Why not?"
"Yo..." he twisted his mouth to the side, and chuckled. My breath hitched and my heart started beating fast as fuck.
