Kabanata XXVIII: Three Days

Athyeia's PoV

"V, sigurado ka bang hindi tayo naliligaw??" Tanong ko. Kanina pa kasi kaming paikot-ikot sa maze.

Though hindi tulad ng dati na puro dead end, sobrang tagal naman ngayon ng ginagawa naming paglalakad.

"Yes." Matipid niyang sagot.

I just continued following him after that.

Later on, we reached an arc which was decorated with vines and daisies.

Ito na ba 'yun?

"Woahh!!" Mangha kong sabi habang tinitingnan iyong mini garden sa loob ng garden.

Napakaweird no? Pero seryoso, it is a mini bird garden within the manor's garden!

Back to where I am from, napakakaunti ng tsansang makita mo nang ganito ka lapit ang mga maya.

They are often scared of people who tried to lock them up inside a birdcage. Kaya naman sobrang pagkamangha talaga ang aking nadarama.

"You like it?" Levi questioned as he sat at a small marble bench. Umupo naman ako doon sa isa pa.

"Yup! Kung dito siguro ako naligaw noong una hindi ko na nanaisin na bumalik." I joked as I let one bird land on my right hand's fore finger. Pinalandas ko naman sa likod noon ang isa ko pang kamay.

Ang cute omg!

"You can't." Bigla niyang sabi. I tilted my head as I looked at him. "Hindi pwede."

"Why not?" I questioned.

Tumungo si Levi, he looked at the pond.

I stared at him with complete round eyes abit fascinated. Namumula kasi ang kaniyang tenga.

What??

Can someone tell me what's happening?!

Saan siya nahihiya??

At bakit ang freaky cute niya?

I saw him brushed the back of his head at inilipat ang tingin ko sa ibang bagay.

Potaneska! nagkakacrush ba ako kay Levi?!

"The bird pond and bird bath were created just two weeks ago."

"Really?" Kung ganoon ay napakabilis lamang pala ng paggawa nito. The people from this time is amazing!

"It's a gift."

"Sa'yo?" Grabehan naman pala ang yaman ng mga tao dito. Nakakagulat.

"Nope. For you." Muli akong napalingon kay Levi dahil doon. He was looking at me with his beautiful red eyes. Hindi siya ngumingiti but still, I found myself enchanted. "You s-saved me twice. I-I... I thank you."

I felt my heart racing so fast to the point na mas mabilis pa ata iyon sa kabayo.

I breathed to calm my nerves.

What Levi did was very heartwarming but I can't love him.

Levi and the real Athyeia are the ones whose fates are tied with a red string. I can't fall for Levi.

Hindi ako si Athyeia.

"It's normal though." I said. Pretending that I am taking everything lightly. "But you are welcome. And thanks for this." Sabi ko at itinaas iyong kamay kong may hawak na ibon.

The bird flew away from me.

I should be more like that bird.

Dumapo at agad ding aalis.

I crossed paths with Levi Azturias but instead of tying up a knot so that we could walk one path forever, kailangan kong lampasan lamang siya.

He is just a checkpoint.

Mawawala din ang lahat ng ito.

I still don't want to die in his hands.

Napabalik ako sa huwisyo ng may humigit saaking kamay.

The action made me stood up.

The next thing I know, I was looking at Levi's beautiful beige face. "Anong ginagawa mo?" Nalilito ko ditong tanong, trying to keep up with his mind.

"You and Laura has been practicing right?" Tanong niya. "Would you mind dancing with me?"

"N-No." Sambit ko kahit na ang totoo ay medyo naa-awkwardan ako. Even still, I still have three days to be with him.

"Then shall we?" Lumayo ito saakin at marahang yumuko. He kissed the top of my right hand and looked at me.

"We shall." Sabi ko dito.

It was fleeting and unexpected but I knew, he smiled.

Levi started moving, napatingin ako sa baba, trying to follow his footsteps.

It wasn't long before I started being one with him as we twirl and move around the garden

I looked up, and I saw the most perfect view my eyes would have probably laid out on.

The bluish-pink, peach-colored sky behind Levi Azturias' smiling face.

I smiled at him too and let my head rest upon his broad chest.

For just three days.

Let me experience this feeling.
