Kabanata L: The Letter

Athyeia's PoV

I looked behind me, once again trying to search for Levi's tracks.

Tapos na ang bagyo, the floods subsided down, it has been four days since I last talked to Levi, at bukas na ang nakatakda kong paguwi.

If Levi talked to me, I would make arrangements to work under Doctor Jeremiah and be his apprentice for a while. If not, I would do my best to go as far away as possible from Levi and I will pursue my dreams while making sure that he wouldn't ever be part of it.

It's so lonely. Damn.

The events that lead to the death of Athyeia has already been tampered with. So I ain't sure whether the ending will be good or bad.

Gayon pa man, what happens after Levi read the book and the letter and what he does after that is a great factor kung papaano ba matatapos ang istoryang ito.

After the attack at the castle, ang tanging nangyari lamang ay iyong nalungkot si Levi at nagkamabutihan sila ni Athyeia-then their wedding-their fake wedding.

Well, parang nagrole play lang naman kasi sila ni Levi na ikinasal sila. (Very corny right?)

Before the last chapter I read, Levi was supposed to propose on that very day five years later.

Athyeia probably knew it as well, you see, Levi have this certain habit of being clumsy and guardless when Athyeia's around.

May isang scene na nalasing si Levi nang sobra, Athyeia brought him to his room, and then the ring fell from his tux.

Nakakatuwa nga because nalasing si Levi over a small dinner he prepared for Athyeia and him..

Napasimangot ako.

Why do I feel as if my heart is being clenched by a fist as I reminisce on my memories from the real and most authentic novel??

Ang librong mismong sinulat ni Athyeia.

I know that I like Levi, baka nga mahal ko na siya. But, is what I am feeling jealousy??

Ganto ba talaga 'yun?

Hindi siya masakit but it makes me extremely sad, even still, I can't hate him.

You gave him a choice Athyeia.

A choice that you should also follow.

"Nailagay na po namin ang mga kagamitan ninyo sa karwahe Binibining Abarca." Said thr henchmen as he bowed in front of me.

Nalipat sa kaniya ang aking tingin. "Maraming salamat." Saad ko at nagsimula nang umakyat sa karwahe.

Beside the carriage I will ride as I go back, may mga kasama din kaming grupo ng mga sundalo.

I think that Levi sent them.

I don't know when but I am still thankful.

Na sa kahit kaunting panahon ay naranasan kong maging kaibigan niya.

I gave out a sad smile as the carriage moved.

Walang Levi ang dumating.

Napatingin ako sa isang kahon na ibinigay saakin ni Butler Vien.

He said that it was a gift.

I ain't sure for what. Ngunit hindi ko siya binubuksan, it pains me to see something that reminds me of Levi.

Sinusubukan ko kasing hindi ito matandaan but after everything, I found out that what I expected didn't happen.

Hindi ko padin siya maalis sa isipan ko.

I shook my head and pat my face.

Ano ba itong negative vibes na napasok sa kokote ko?

I should still be happy right?

Hindi man ito umayon saaking nais ay may buhay padin naman ako.

I have got alot of things ahead of me.

And I have the knowledge to help make the world a better place.

Ang mga kalungkutan ay isa lamang parte ng buhay, and I won't let it steal each and every bit of my life right now.

Nasa may parteng bayan na ang karwahe nang lumingon ako sa bintana.

Mula saaking pagkakaupo ay nakita ko ang tindahan ni Lola Thea.

I suddenly remembered our last meet.

She knew that I was Athyeia.

Napahinga ako.

Baka sa susunod ko nalang siya kausapin tungkol doon.

My mind is in peril right now.

Masyadong magulo na masaya, na hopeful na malungkot.

Muli kong tiningnan iyong regalo na iniabot saakin ni Butler Vien.

If I will move on, I should do it right.

And that includes reading this letter from him.

Napatango ako saaking sarili.

If I don't face this now, I can't ever face it again.

I need to end the ties I have with Levi Azturias.

Completely.

I optimistically opened the box.

I admit, one can easily be in awe if they saw this small piece of jewelry, but what shocked me more was when I saw the Azturias Crest inside of it.

With each and every passing second, I felt my heart beat and an extra.
