Backstory: Asher's parents met in college and got married after graduating. A year later they had Asher's older sister Julie. Three years later they had him. He had a normal childhood with two loving parents. When he was six his parents announced they were going to have another kid. Only six months after his younger sister Misti was born they got into a car accident. The crash killed his older sister and left his dad paralyzed from the waist down.

After the accident Asher's father became very angry. He was mad at the world for his predicament. Asher's mom did her best to take care of her husband and keep the broken family together. Asher fell into a deep depression. His father wasn't the same and he'd lost his beloved older sister.

As he got older he turned into a rebellious and angsty teenager. When he was fifteen he picked up his first guitar. His world changed after that. He started putting all his dark thoughts into songs. After a few years of self releasing music he finally got recognized and signed to a label. As soon as he could he left his broken home and moved to sunny LA.

Since being signed he's put out three albums and gone on two world tours.

With the money he's made he bought his family a new house, helps pay for his fathers medical expenses, and payed for his sisters college.

Having sever depression led Asher to start self medicating with alcohol and drugs. The problem got worse as he entered the alternative music scene. The drugs and alcohol became more easily accessible and often promoted. Since the age of 18 he'd been struggling with his problem. It grew into an addiction at 21. He's been able to maintain it for the most part, going back and forth between being sober and relapsing. At age 24 was when things started to really go downhill.

He wasn't the best person to date, tended to cheat a lot. For about two years he had an on-off relationship with a fellow singer. It ended badly. They were at a club and he got pissed off. Ended up on stage singing a song he'd never even recorded and puked on the people in the front row.

His label and managers decided it was time for him to go to rehab. Reluctantly he agreed, after he was dragged to a facility.

He spent six months in rehab getting sober and working through all his demons.

It's been about six months since he got our. He hasn't written a new song in over a year and his label is getting impatient for a new album.
