Chapter 5

"His name is Antonio Lane.", my uncle said after which he opened the door and started shooting furiously.

"Come on James, let's go.", Ava yelled. She dragged me to the dark-lit room downstairs. Then she yelled, "run. " but I wasn't in a condition to do anything, but I still started running. My brain was thinking that I had heard this name once before but where?

We continued to run until we reached a door, I opened it and we were standing in a large hall. At the end of the hall, we saw the stairs going upwards. We were about to run towards the stairs when we heard a cold voice, "going somewhere?"

We stopped and turned to see four men in black suits had aimed their guns at us. One of them stepped forward, he lowered his gun and then he said, "so you both are James and Ava Harvey"

"Who are you?", I had the nerve to ask him this.

He chuckled and then replied, "I was expecting you'd ask this question. I am Greg. I am an assassin and my master is Sir Antonio Lane."

"And I suppose you're going to kill us?", I said.

"Yup you guessed it right", he said "sadly" and then he continued "You see I do not kill children, but I will make it an exception for you both, as you are 'The Harvey's. So, nothing personal but I must kill you. ", he raised his gun and loaded it.

I closed my eyes. Ava hid behind me. The next thing I heard was four gunshots. I could not feel anything at all, so I opened my eyes and saw Greg and his men lying dead on the floor.

I could not believe my luck. I bet I was three seconds away from death.

"Finally, the great Greg is dead.", said a familiar voice.

I turned back and was shocked to see Mr. Hugo, my maths teacher, and our Bus driver coming towards us with pistols in their hands.

"Mr. Hugo what are you doing here?", I asked, surprised.

"Hello James, I am here for protecting you as ordered by our king and I am mafia and a friend of your Uncle and of course I am your teacher.", said Mr. Hugo.

"Mr. Driver", Ava said with a smile. Our Bus driver smiled knowingly then frowned a little and said, "Hello children, I am Lucas Brown, mafia and a bodyguard to your Uncle. I am afraid I am not your Bus driver, I just acted as one because I was instructed by my lord John Harvey. "

"That's why you helped us when I almost killed a person on the bus?", I asked suspiciously.

"Yes and no. Yes as I was told to protect you from danger and killing that guy would bring you danger and No as I could have stopped you earlier but those boys had been trouble since the day I joined your school. If I had my way, I would pick my gun and.....", Lucas was interrupted by Mr. Hugo, "Enough Lucas let us leave now."

"Yes, right away", Lucas said.

We all climbed the stairs up and we were standing in front of a blue Mercedes. Hugo sat on the driving seat. Lucas and Ava took the back seats and I took the shotgun seat. Hugo started driving us out of the city.

We drove to the countryside. I checked my phone, it was 9:30 pm and though I had not realized it, I was very hungry. After some time, we came to halt next to a big gate. The guards saw Hugo and they quickly opened the gates and when they opened, I saw myself on a wide lawn around the driveway ending at the doors of a gigantic ancient castle. Hugo stopped the car in front of the doors of the castle. We all got out. Suddenly the doors opened and a tall man carrying a walking stick, wearing a black tux and a hat came out and stood next to Hugo.

"Who are you? ", I asked him.

He replied, "Hello James, we have waited a lot for you."
