We stood outside the cave, and called out, rather screamed Ryan's name, when there was no response. We turned the flashlights on of our phones and went inside the cave, Adam going in first. I followed his lead. Since it was already late in the evening it was getting darker every minute, and the inside of the cave seemed even creepier now with the little flashlight that illuminated the way.

"Ryan?", we called out for him.

"Lue? Adam?", we heard him speak.

"Ryan at no cost touch the walls of the cave, alright", Adam screamed to Ryan.

"what?", Ryan said.

"Just don't", I said as we moved deeper in the cave.

"Why are you freaking me out?", Ryan said.

We reached the end of the cave but didn't see Ryan, I turned my flashlight in the opposite direction of the cave, and out of no where heard "BOO", on my shoulder.

I freaked out. The panicked caused me to get unbalanced and I fell on top of Adam. But neither of us fell down, because his reflexes made him touch the wall of the cave, where the inscriptions were written, even when we knew we didn't had to touch that.

"Look at your faces", Ryan laughed, but that wasn't concerning me now.

What concerned me now was Adam. I took his hand in mine only to see blood there. I turned to look at the wall with the flashlight and found the imprint of Adam's hand with blood on the wall. I knew what went wrong now. And all of this s going to repeat itself now.

Adam and I looked at each other, while Ryan was left confused due to our actions. I'm sure he had seen the blood, but he wasn't sure what was happening.

"Adam", I looked at him.

"What is happening here?", Ryan asked.

Neither Adam nor I could say a word.

Adam wiped his hand from a wipe that he took from my bag which was hanging from my shoulder, and moved past us, going outside the cave.

"Wth, what the hell just happened, the blood?", Ryan commented, but I didn't answer him, just moved behind Adam.

"Adam, what are we gonna do?", I said while we came out of the cave, now the sky was completely dark

"I don't know", he said.

"What was your sin?", I asked him, because as far as I remembered, he was clean dor the last 10 years we've been friends. He never hurt anyone, wasn't ever dating anyone, was calm, so what was his sin.

He didn't answer me.

"What sin? Hello? Update please", Ryan said not understanding the seriousness of the situation.

"I've been cursed with her blood", Adam said.

"You what?", Ryan asked in a 'not believing' manner.

"The curse, the cave is cursed", I told him.

"We should get going, its getting dark", Adam said.

We reached the asylum, which had one light on, which I assumed was the kitchen we were earlier in.

"Someone lives here?", Ryan asked.

"Hmmm"

We kept moving and in a few minutes we reached the parking. The street light were on and this place seemed much less creepier than we were earlier.

"Now will someone explain?", Ryan asked.

"The asylum, there is a lady there who says that the cave is cursed by her grandmother's witch lover, and who so ever gets her blood on their hand, gets cursed", I said.

"Dude you can't be serious", Ryan said.

"Today isn't April Fool's day, is it?", Ryan asked.

"You seriously don't get it do you?", I said to him in anger now. "this is serious Ryan, Olivia had faced it wrath, so has Carter, and now Adam", I said.

"Wait a minute, the blood",I said.

"What?", Adam asked.

"Carter didn't have blood on his hand that day did he?", I asked.

"Which day?", Ryan asked.

"When Olivia screamed, the picnic Sunday", I said.

"No but he had it the other day we were there, you were scared and didn't see it, but he mentioned it to me", Adam said.

"The other day? Dude you guys go out without me?", Ryan asked.

"Shut up Ryan, be serious right now", I said.

"What was his sin? Why did he hurt himself twice?", I asked Adam as he has always been the closest to Carter, going back to their childhood.

"He..... uhmm..... I got to go", he said and moved towards is car.

I ran after him.

"Adam you can't leave, we need to be with you now, so that you don't hurt yourself", I pleaded.

"I won't Lucy, I won't hurt myself, go home", he said after closing the door of the drivers seat and driving away. He moved so swiftly that I couldn't object but I knew I can't afford him hurting himself as well now.

"What was he talking about?", he asked.

"Ryan where is your car?", I asked him, not able to spot his.

"My dad dropped me here", he said.

"Great, you drive", I threw my keys in his direction and asked him to drive.

"Why?", he asked getting in my car.

"You drive fast and we need to make sure Adam is safe", I said.

"Alright, but why?", he asked.

"See, the person who gets the curse, has to pay for his sins if he doesn't confess or redeem himself", I explained to him.

"You think Adam's got a sin on him?", he joked.

"That's what I'm thinking, what could be his sin? Even Carter, he is always in his laptop, he hasn't hurt Olivia, so what is his sin?", I asked as Ryan turned the car on the highway now.

Ryan stepped on the accelerator, speeding the car. First time in my life, I wasn't complaining his rash or fast driving, that too wen he was driving my car. I just wanted to make sure Adam's fine.

We saw Adam's car in front of us. We followed him to his house. We waited outside the main gate, while he parked his car and went inside the house.
