We Have News.

(3 weeks later.)
"So how do you want to tell them?" I asked
"Well why don't we invite them over for dinner? You can get t-shirts or cards made. Will and Kelly already know but Katie, your parents and my dad don't know."
"Don't know what?" Katie asked walking in with a towel in her hand drying her hair.
She flew in to town 3 days ago and she was staying with us.
"Oh it's nothing." I could tell she knew something was up.
"Oh ok then."
"Hey where are you going?"
"I have a job offer and I have to go to the interview."
I was surprised.
"Your getting a job in Chicago?"
"Well I'm hoping I'll get it."
"That's great you will be closer to me and Kelly."
"That's why I took it." She smiled at me.
"I'm gonna get going I'm gonna be late to my interview."
"Ok bye."
"Bye Katie!"
I heard Jay yell from the hallway.
"Bye Jay. Bye Sophia" she waved as she walked out the door.
"I have to get going too." Jay said walking out.
"Ok bye." I kissed him on the cheek and he walked out.
"Well I guess we have to get going too." I placed my hand on my stomach and grabbed my keys.

I drove to the bakery and got the cake that I ordered that said
Baby on the way.
Then I drove to the store and bought a couple white t-shirts and some flowers and drove to the cemetery.
I placed the flowers on Shay's grave and started talking to her. I told her how I was pregnant and how I was getting married. I said my goodbyes and drove to the pizza place and got two trays of pizza.
I drove to the 21st district and walked in with the pizza.
"Hey Sophia!" Trudy greeted me
"Hey Trudy! Want a piece of pizza?"
"I would love a piece of pizza."
I handed her a piece and she buzzed me up to the intelligence unit.
"Hey Sophia!" I was greeted by a couple people up there as well.
"I brought you guys pizza."
"Your the best."
I smiled at them and was about to walk out when I heard them all say
"Congratulations by the way."
"Thank you!" I waved and walked downstairs.
"Sophia wait!"
"Yeah Trudy."
She reached below her desk and handed me a mug that said
Mommy To Be.
"Aww thank you Trudy."
"Of course." She smiled at me before I walked out.
I drove home

I used my cricket to make two of the t-shirts say

Kelly and Will already know so they don't need a t-shirt.
Then I started cooking.
I made chicken with broccoli and pasta.
Then I called everyone to tell them to come over.
Not long after Jay came home.
"Hey babe." He kissed me on the temple.
"Hey."
"So have you decided how we are gonna tell them?"
"Look at the table." I said with a smile
He walked over to our dining room table.
"These are cute."
"There's a cake in the fridge too."
"Good idea."
He walked upstairs to our bedroom and took a shower.
I put all the shirts in the boxes and got changed.
Jay came downstairs and not long after everyone was here.
After dinner I spoke up.
"We have news."
"What is it?" My mom asked.
"Hold on."
I grabbed the boxes and the cake.
I gave boxes to everyone but Kelly, Will, and Jay.
I placed the cake box on the table.
"Open them."
While they were distracted opening their boxes I opened the cake box.
"Your pregnant?" Katie asked
I nodded at her.
"Oh my god." My mom and Katie came up and gave me a hug followed my dad and then my soon to be father in law. They did the same with Jay.
"Your gonna have a baby?" My dad was the most excited.
"Yes dad."
"That's amazing."
He hugged me again.
After everyone ate and left we went to bed.

"Well I got the job."
"Really that's great!"
"Yeah so now I have to go apartment hunting."
"It's not that hard to find decent apartments in Chicago. You will find one, in the meantime you can stay with us."
"Thank you."
Katie walked out the door to go to work.
"Jay I'm leaving!"
"Ok bye. I love you."
"Love you!" I walked out the door and drove to the firehouse.
I'm on light duty. I can't go into fires, but I'm still working.
I got out of my car and walked into the firehouse.
"Hey Sophia."
"Hey Gabby."
"How did telling them go?"
"It went great! My dad is so excited."
"That's great."
"Yeah."
"Structure fire. Engine 51, truck 81, squad 3, ambulance 61, battalion 25."
"Sophia your staying here."
"You got it Chief."
An hour later they were back.
"Hey how did it go?" I asked Kelly.
"It went great. We got everyone out."
"That's good."
I got a phone call from Hank.
"Why is Hank calling me?"
"Hello?"
"What? Ok I'll be right there."
I hung up my phone.
"Is everything alright?"
"No. Jay got shot. He's in the hospital. I have to go."
I ran out to my car and drove to med.

I ran into the hospital and saw the intelligence unit sitting in the waiting room.
"How is he?"
"He's fine. He disobeyed a direct order and got himself shot. It didn't go through his vest though. We're only here cause Voight made him come get it checked out." Hailey told me.
I walked to the room they told me he would be in and saw him sitting on an exam table with a huge bruise on his stomach being examined by Will.
"Your in trouble now Jay." After Will finished he left us alone.
I punched Jays shoulder.
"Ow."
"Your an idiot you know that. Hailey told me you disobeyed a direct order. You could've got yourself killed."
"I'm fine Sophia."
"That's not the point Jay."
"I could've lost you."
"Sophia like i said I'm fine." I went over to him and gave him a hug.
"Don't scare me like that again."
