Y/n knocks on the door. The door opens up to reveal the Manager.
"Do you need something, Y/n?"
"No, I was just getting bored. So, I came to chat. Can I come in?
"Sure" says the manager and leaves the door wide open and continues to walk back.
He get seated near the study table where the laptop is still on. "I just have to finish this one thing. Until then get yourself comfortable. There's some snacks in the drawer if you want." He said without moving his eyes from the screen.
"No, I am good." She says taking a seat on another chair.
Manager was busy typing on his laptop while Y/n was fiddling with her fingers. She looks around the room and stops her eyes on a book kept besides her. She takes it in her hand and turns pages ignoring the words printed on them.
"Actually....." She says between the audible clicking sound in the dead silence.
"I was just wondering....I mean I tend to think alot....." She said nervously.
"What happens when a member leaves the group....with his own will" She asks placidly, her eyes on manager's face for response.
"If he/she wishes to leaves during the contract then they needs to pay break fee to terminate the contract." He explains without turning his face from the laptop.
"Ooh" Y/n gives a rather pretended reaction and her fingers starts turning the pages again.
"And.." She hesitates before inquiring
"What is the break fee...for our group?"
His fingers pauses at the moment he hears her question. Seeing this Y/n hides her face behind the book.
Manager slowly turns his chair to face Y/n which is replaced by the book.
"And why do you wanna know that? He questions raising his one brow.
Y/n gives a faint reluctant laugh from behind the book. "Just curiosity"
"Oh...'Just curiousity' then I can tell you it's about one hundred and fifty million won."
"What! ONE-HUNDRE--DD and FIFTY- MILLION WON!" she exclaims as the book slips down her hand and falls onto the floor.
Her dumbfounded expression converted into annoyed as she discovers the soft teasing smile on his face.
"If you didn't wanted to tell, you should have told me so! Why make an unbelievable number?" Y/n scoffs before standing up and starts walking towards the door.
Manager gets up too to follow Y/n. Her fast stride continues after exiting his room too.
"Ya...Don't ever think about leaving the group!!" The manager shouts before closing the door behind her.
Y/n's pov
I was just thinking if I should stop now. Stop dragging down the group with my mistakes, stop making them worried about me. Stop all of this.
That's why I went to Manager-nim's room and his response was something I'd expected.
The only way I can make my mind not think about this at a speed of hundred thoughts per second is to sleep.
I reached my room and pounced on the bed as soon I entered. What an ecstasy the hotel room matress, only the person who sleeps on sofa knows. I buried my face deeper in the bed as I hugged it with my arms.
Tring. Tring. Tring. Tring/ (Your mobile ringtone)
I lift my head and grab my mobile phone to know who has disturbed my sleep.
No name appeared but I recognized the numbers instantly. I immediately sat up straight. The phone was still ringing in my hand as familiar unsettling feelings intruded my mind. The ringtone stopped and a sigh of relief escaped my mouth.
"Face your fears" I remember my therapist's words. But it was hard for me to face this one.
The phone vibrated second time and I picked up the call.
"Hello?"
"Long time, no see, Y/n"
Taxi! Taxi! I waved my hand for the taxi in front of my hotel. Fortunately a taxi stopped and I hoped into it.
"Please take me to (A nature hangout spot you know)"
The driver accelerates as well as my heart. In no time, we are there, I step out of the car and pays the driver.
The cold wind make chills run down my spine and I wrap my shawl tighter. I admired the scenic view that was in front of me and couldn't help but nostalgia striking my mind. 'So much has changed in four years.'
The lake reflected the full moon of the night and that was the only source of light as no streetlight worked in this area, that's why it was my secret spot then.
I in took a deep breath and it was fresh as daisy. Fond memories of me sitting here for hours, playing with water, brushing through glass and flowers floated in my mind.
I spotted a figure, gazing at the lake and made my way to it.
His back facing me grew bigger and bigger with my every step and my anxiety too.
"Leo."
He turns around and I saw that sly face again.
