"How much dung did you get into the pudding tonight?" James asked with a grin.

"The most yet, half a vile" Sirius replied with a cunning smiled "ask old Malfoy which one of his cousins he wanted to marry most, and while he was raging used a charm to pour it into the figgy pudding."

The two friends walked across the cool fall grounds. Despite Remus advising them they had pently of Charms homework, the two had decided to go and practice some quidditch as try outs were coming up. James had been on the team the last two years, and Sirius was desperate to join him. Sirius had got to spend the summer at the Potter's as his relationship with his own family was at an all time low. Every day the friends had spent hours wizzing around the Potter's estate on their brooms.

"I think Moony is right though, if we don't mix it up people will think we've lost our edge." Sirius said thoughtfully.

"US!" James cried ingridously "We could never loss our edge!"

"Don't worry Prongs. We will show 'em we will find the best prank this school has ever seen." He said wheeling around and waving his hands at the castle with a grin. His friend returned his smile whole heartedly, then untouched his broom from his arm, and swung his leg over it.

"Race you!"

The two spent the best part of the next hour flying around in circles, running drills, and passing a quaffle back and forth. At one point Sirius noticed Remus had come out and was sitting under a tree reading quietly. He seemed to have given up on studying as well as his book look recerational. He had changed out of his robes and sat cuddled in on himself in an oversized sweater, his gryffindor scarf snug around his neck. When he saw Sirius looking at him he waved and smiled, which Sirius returned.

Sirius, and James had been best friends since the moment they shared a comparent on the Hogwarts express. There friendship came so effortless, and especially since Sirius now spent the holidays with the Potters were basically brothers. Remus was such a different experience. There always seem to be something he was hiding. Sirius just wanted to know so bad, he wanted to understand Remus, help him. Sirius felt he had earn Remus' trust, he had support him when he found out about the whole transforming into a different spieces every month. He had turned his whole life around becoming an animagus so he could help his friend. Yet still Remus kept things from him.

When he looked back again he saw Remus talking to a black haired boy in ravenclaw robes. Remus seemed almost agitated by his presence uncurling from in comfortable position and sitting up straight. Sirius flew closer to James and gestured down to their friend.

"Whose that Moony is talking to?" Sirius asked.

"Oh that is Luke I think. He is in Ravenclaw, not our year though." James said seemingly unbothered.

"What's he doing talking to Moony then?" Sirius asked his voice suprisingly bitter.

"I think their families are friends" James said with a shrug. "Plus Ravenclaws always like Moony, they all think he should have been one of them."

"Well he isn't, he is one of us" Sirius said anger now clear in his voice.

"I know Padfoot" James said shooting him an odd glance.

"He seems annoyed with him doesn't he?" Sirius asked.

As he looked backed down at Remus he realized he didn't actually. He seemed to have relaxed a little and was talking happily. As he continue watch he saw his friend break out in a joyful laugh. Remus' leg was resting against this Luke's guys leg. Sirius wondering if Remus would move his leg is Sirius' own was brushing against his. And more than anything he wondered if Remus would tell him all the stuff he hid from the Mruaders.

"I think I wanna go in" Sirius said "It's cold, and dont need our good friend Mcgonagall getting down on us this early in term."

James nodded, and they flew down hopping off their brooms acouple feet away from Remus so as not to bother him and his happy conversation. However as they headed up towards the castle.

"Oi tossers" Remus said running up behind them "I come outside to watch you idiots and you don't even wait for me."

"Aww Moons you came to watch us" James said raising his hand up to squish his face but he slapped his hand away immeidatly.

"I just thought there was like a 60% chance one of you did something stupid and fall off your broom and I'd never forgive myself if I missed the opportunity to laugh at that." Remus said.

"And that was worth not finishing your Charms home work?" Sirius asked with a smile, all thoughts of Luke vanished from his mind.

"I did that, wait have you not finished your charms home work!" Remus exclaim clearly panicked "It is due tomorrow!"

James and Sirius adverted their gaze as they walked through the doors into the enterance.

"Due tomorrow do tomorrow?" James tried with a sheepish grin.

"By that you better not mean due tomorrow get my friend to do tomorrow." Remus said with a scowl.

"Even if we told our friend how smart, and handsome he is?" Sirius tried standing up on his tiptoes to wrap a friendly arm around Remus shoulder.

Remus rolled his eyes but Sirius could swear he saw a light blush painting his cheekbones.

"I'll help you two with the complicated bits, and if your promised to not leave stuff till last minute again, I'll show you what I got." Remus said defeated.

"Aww Moony, I knew you loved us." SIrius said grinning.
