Riju's beautifully refined character and companionship caught you off guard. You half-expected the situation to be awkward between you two, but when the young girl came back from Vah Naboris two hours later, she brought the warmness of the sun along with her. With a bright smile, the chief of the Gerudo kindly showed you around the town. The conversations you both had as you walked around were blissful, and not at all forced.

However, a small part of your brain was centred on Link and the situation that had unfolded hours ago. Reminiscing the event caused a smile to appear on your lips out of nowhere, which Riju caught quickly.

"Why are you smiling so much?" The girl asked curiously, her eyes narrowing as she studied the silly expression that etched on your lovely features. She assumed it had something to do with Link, and the exchange you both had before he left. Riju linked her hands in front of her and continued observing you, examining the tug of your lips and the faint blush that spread across your cheeks when you looked down at her.

"I'm sorry? What?" You asked, having blocked out her voice entirely as you thought about Link. When Riju grinned, you shyly glanced away and looked at a couple of women that danced interestingly a few yards away from you.

"Are your thoughts on Link?" Riju giggled at the end of her question, seeing that the simple mention of his name caused you to look down bashfully. The young chief looked away and started to sway her hips as she walked. "I assume the two of you are together?"

You blinked, hesitating at her assumption. "Together? As in, boyfriend and girlfriend?" You glanced at her, to which Riju responded with a nod of her head. A darker blush cast on your cheeks as you looked away. "Oh, no. We're just friends."

"Friends?" She delicately placed a hand over her lips and giggled. "Well, the two of you seem to be more than that. Before heading to Vah Naboris, it appeared as if the two of you were about to kiss."

Hearing that caused your heart and stomach to flutter sensationally. How your cheeks managed to heat up more, you didn't know, but your smile grew tremendously as you recalled how close you both were to kissing. "Yes...but we aren't together," you clarified slowly, hoping it would calm your soaring heart.

"Ah, I see." Riju hummed to herself as she sent a few of her people sweet smiles before redirecting her attention to you. "But you both like one another, correct?"

"Well I do, and judging by his actions I'm guessing he does too," you said, biting your bottom lip as another uncontrollable smile appeared. The feelings that exploded inside of you made you feel silly, childish even, but did you attempt to push these emotions away? No. If anything you accepted them gratefully. Who would've thought that Goddess Hylia would create you with these types of feelings? Something about it helped you feel more normal, like every other girl that roamed the land of Hyrule.

"Hmm, on our way to Vah Naboris, Link spoke of you quite fondly," Riju mentioned as she walked down the main road and toward the steps that led to her throne room. She grinned, remembering how bewitched Link became when speaking of you and though she barely knew the boy, it was clear to her that his feelings for you were beyond liking.

"He did?" You looked at her while walking up the stairs.

"Yes. So I think it is safe to assume your feelings are reciprocated," she replied, her words wrapping around a gleeful tone. Riju glimpsed at you, catching a twinkle in your eyes as both of you strolled through the archway. An amused giggle left her mouth as she led you to her room, which was on the second floor. "How long does it usually take for Link to appease a Divine Beast?"

"It took him three days last time," you sighed, dreading the idea of waiting so long for him. You pursed your lips and looked up when you reached the balcony of Riju's room. The sandstorm that once cloaked Vah Naboris had gone away, which allowed you to see the mechanical beast stomp around the desert far away. It was then that a tiny twinge of worry slipped into your mind, making your eyebrows furrow slightly. The small change in your expression went unnoticed, for Riju quickly steered the conversation another way.
