Hello everyone! My name is Jack and today I bring to you the project I have been working on for 11 months: Josephine. This is an alternate history novel focusing on the life and exploits of Empress Josephine Price (1950-2020) from my Imperial Americana timeline. I will be including a timeline in the next part, along with a book cast so that you get the general gist of how this alternate world looks! I do not have a map designed for the beginning of the book, but at the end, there will be so that you can see it firsthand!

This story is now 100% done. But I decided to start publishing the story in intervals now because I really wanted to share it with the world!

It is currently divided into nine seasons:

1. 10 episodes

2. 10 episodes

3. 13 episodes

4. 16 episodes

5. 8 episodes

6. 16 episodes

7. 15 episodes

8. 8 episodes

9. 11 episodes

There are also a few little statistics that I wanted to drop here because that's just who I am. So the finished product of this novel is 105 chapters (this doesn't include season dividers/casting and some other non-novel sections I drop in). It is about 160,000 words, over 700 pages (There is some difference between the Google Docs original text and edited versions, hence no exact number.) It also took 364 days to write. Yes, I finished writing chapter 105/the epilogue the night before I began writing chapter one the previous year.

So yeah.

This novel is very important to me, and I am looking for feedback from the community. So please, do not feel like you're hurting my feelings when you leave an inline comment calling out something that doesn't make sense. I will be reading them all and fixing any and all errors that seem fit.

Please, follow me, check out some of my other works, vote on chapters, again do not hesitate to leave a comment.

Except unless it is explicable nastiness. If you cannot think of something nice or constructive to say, don't say anything at all. Unfortunately, I have seen it on occasion here, which I don't appreciate.

I am excited for you all to read this story as I have worked very hard on it, and of course, I had some help from some people.

1. MerrilyBlythestar helped edit the first chapter originally and she gave me some ideas that helped me out throughout the story.

2. brynnsreign helped with some inspiration and her story 'Tudor Rose' definitely deserves mentioning.

3. Softie113123 created the incredible banner art. She is a fantastic artist and she definitely deserves this credit. Check out her cover shop 3.0 so you can see some of the other options she made for me! Currently, I am using the cover made by Acacia Heather, who is no longer on Wattpad, but occasionally I'll switch to one by her.

If you want to be added to this list, make sure to vote and comment regularly! The final, final author note (124 chapters from now) will have the advanced list.

This book, its characters (Except for Otto Von Habsburg) are my creation, and my creation only. It was published on Wattpad.com on November 30, 2020, and on that site only. If you are reading it somewhere else then on Wattpad.com, please get off that site, as it has been copied. The same goes to the rare chance that you are reading this, not on the account of JackHuston96. If that is not the account on Wattpad.com that you are reading it on, then please be aware that is not the original author.

This book will cover some pretty serious and dark themes throughout its course, and on the Season Introduction pages, I will specify in content warnings what you should expect. But as of right now, you can expect alcohol/substance abuse, marital abuse, war, death, depression, and suicide. Be aware that I have never personally experienced any of these, and that this is all occurring in a fictional world.

Also, dare I say it, Josephine is not a perfect character by far. She is (for most of the novel) not a tolerant person. But what can I say except for that she was born in the 1950s, in America, in an aristocratic class of people who are rich, powerful and wield total control over the general populace. She will have opinions that some of you will not find tolerable or may find offensive (le gasp), but again, remember this is a fictional world, a fictional story, and these are fictional characters. Please do not attack me for the opinions of my characters and worldbuilding. Yes, people have done it, please do not become one of those people. Those are not good people, and generally, I think all of you are good people. :)

That is all for now in terms of credits, notes and the like. But in general, I think that wraps up my notes page. As I mentioned above, the next chapter will be a context page, with the timeline leading up to the story.

A little warning: There is some mild language used throughout the book, though generally due to the character's sophisticated nature, it's tame. No F-bombs guys!

After that will be the cast list for the first part and then the first part marker, and then finally the first chapter.

So, I hope you all enjoy it!
