"Why would you do that, Daksh?" Rutuja's voice held a mix of frustration and concern as she brushed off the dirt from her hands.

Rishi groaned as he slowly sat up, rubbing his back.

Daksh stood tall, locking the portal behind them on the second floor of the library.

"I was trying to protect us," he responded, slipping the ring back onto his thumb.

"Master Indra gave you that ring for emergencies, not to take matters into your own hands," Rutuja retorted, crossing her arms.

"They were opponents," Daksh argued. "I didn't want to take any chances."

"No way," Rutuja exclaimed. "I was only going to approach that girl to talk about the book."

"She?" Rishi interjected; his curiosity piqued.

"I heard a female voice speaking through the book," Daksh revealed.

Suddenly, a telepathic message resonated in their minds: "Daksh, Rutuja, Rishi, where are you children? Return to the cottage now!"

Startled, they closed their eyes and vanished into thin air, responding to the mysterious voice's command.
