The Japanese hunters were divided into groups and positioned in different areas on the island.

"Is this the upper district of Jeju? It's no different from a ghost town."

Wild plants were thriving on the crumbling roadways and dilapidated structures. The incident that occurred when the island's first S-rank gate first emerged was evident by the fracture in the structures and the broken mirrors.

A few mutant ants that were dead and laying on the roads were discovered by the Japanese hunters.

'The carcasses... did they start to eat each other?'

The dead ant's body revealed that it had been eaten in half.

'There must be a predator amongst them.'

"This is A-Alpha." Goto spoke through the earpiece that connected him to the other Japanese hunters. "Respond in order."

"B-Bravo, over."

"C-Charlie, over."

"D-Delta, over."

"Everyone, release it now."

On the island, there had been a few significant explosions, which had caused a swarm of enormous ants to move toward the sound.

"What an enormous magical energy!" Yoon-Ho exclaimed in surprise as he looked through the plane's window.

"The Japanese must have started their attack." Jong-In spoke up next to him.

The plan was for the Japanese to eliminate the ant swarm from outside while the Korean hunters entered the ant nest and killed the queen as quickly as possible.

Hearing the sound of the aircraft, a swarm of ants flew in the air and attacked the aircraft.

"Allow me to take care of them." Jong-in stood on the edge of the plane, his cape fluttering behind him. "Flame spear."

The mage-type hunter demonstrated his abilities by attacking the ants precisely.

"That's impressive." Byung-Gu commented.

"No... It's really not." Jong-In replied. The ants were still flying in the air. "As I thought... the amount of flames will do nothing to them. The helicopter may shake quite a bit, so please hold on tight."

The mage-type hunter then unleashed a second full strike, which ultimately reduced the ants to ashes.

"The ants have evolved quite a bit. They are much different from last time. They seem to have a similar resistance to the ones in the A-rank dungeons, where I have to make sure to focus quite a bit on my flames."

"I will first scope out how strong these guys are." Jong-In descended from the aircraft without incident.

"W-Wait a second... Master Choi!"

"Will Master Choi be okay?" Dong-Wook asked.

Hae-In replied from beside him. "I'm sure he'll be fine. After all, his magic thrives the most when he has to face more than one enemy. "

Jong-In continued to use his magic, grilling the swarm of ants that approached.

"This will be my first time in a while, since I've last played with ants. Back when I was a kid, I would use a lighter to burn you guys. Everytime I burned one, they would make these loud popping noises..." He smiled, pushing the glasses on the bridge of his nose. Not a single monster could get close to him. "Now the only noises I hear are the loud explosions."

Jong-In looked at the male behind him, who had also jumped down from the plane. "And here I thought that you weren't planning to come."

Seung-Eun understood what the red-haired man was referring to. "It was a last minute decision." He  replied.
