Asahi was known as a pretty calm guy. 

Despite his large body and intimidating look, anyone who knew him knew he was a teddy bear of a man who wouldn't hurt a fly. 

Sure, he did have a certain look when concentrating on games or hitting a hard spike during volleyball games. But otherwise, he was a sweet and caring man. 

No one knew this better then his boyfriend, Nishinoya. The second year fell in love with his caring nature as they both started dating a couple months ago.

Normally, nothing really bothered Asahi when it came to his loving partner. He was perfect for him in so many ways and even pushed him to do better a lot of the time. 

So nothing could really explain the intense tightness the older felt in his stomach upon seeing the younger talking to other guys during lunch.

"Hey, Asahi whats up?" Sugawara said as both him and Daichi took a seat at his lunch table

Asahi didn't hear them as he intensely watched the scene in front of him. Two boys sat near Nishinoya and Tanaka as they all ate lunch. One of them particularly was touching his Noya quite a lot. 

Both Daichi and Sugawara took notice upon seeing what Asahi was staring at.

"Asahi's jealous?" Sugawara questioned

"What? N..no." Asahi nervously said

"Asahi, i've never seen you look so intense unless it was for volleyball reasons. You look tense and that guy is touching Nishinoya quite a lot." Daichi said

"Yeah, you have a reason to be jealous. Anyone would be if someone touched someone they loved like that." Sugawara said, slowly eating his yogurt as he examined the situation 

"Would you guys be?" Asahi asked

"Definitely." Daichi and Sugawara said in unison 

"I would probably kiss Sugawara right then and there." Daichi said, biting into his sandwich and Sugawara smiled

Asahi sighed, sulking in his seat.

"What do I do.." Asahi said

"Listen, Nishinoya is really smart when it comes to gameplay and is extremely adaptable. But when it comes to noticing guys coming onto him, he usually sees it as friendly. Him and Tanaka are close, he probably confuses a really close friendship with genuine affection from another stranger." Daichi said

"I say either tell him at some point, or go over there and show he's your boyfriend." Sugawara said and Daichi agreed

Asahi sighed, he didn't like confrontation. He wasn't sure if he could do that at all.

"I'll talk to him." Asahi said, picking at his food

☾ Timeskip: Walking Home ☽

"And then I was telling him, I know Tanaka, he'd talk to Kiyoko. Then, Tanaka actually walked up to her and had a normal conversation. I knew he could do it!" Nishinoya brightly said, proud of his best friend

Asahi looked at the younger and smiled lightly, continuing to walk. 

"Asahi, you've been sulking this entire time. What's going on?" Nishinoya asked as he halted from his tracks, looking up at the older

Asahi stopped and turned to face the smaller.

"Nishinoya..." He started "I don't know why, but I get a really bad feeling when you talk to that guy in the cafeteria. He's really touchy!"

Nishinoya stared at the older, piecing together the information he was just given "So... you're jealous?"

"Yeah! He's not being friendly with you. He wraps his arms around you like I do and I don't like it." Asahi said "I'm sorry, I understand it with you and Tanaka being close because you guys are best friends, but with this new guy he barely knows you to be touching you like that."

Nishinoya stayed expressionless as the older vented out his pent up emotions, soon smiling.

"Asahi! It's okay, I get it, he's really touchy. I'll tell him to quit it." Nishinoya smiled, walking up and hugging the older tightly

"Huh..? You aren't mad?" Asahi said

"Why would I be mad? Relationships have boundaries. I understand if it makes you uncomfortable. Honestly, i'd be too." Nishinoya said

"I love you." Asahi sighed in relief, hugging the younger as he hoisted him up, carrying him away.

Nishinoya laughed as they both continued to go home.

☾ Timeskip: Next Day, Lunch ☽

Asahi placed his tray down at his table. Daichi and Sugawara were lowly talking about things they could get Asahi and Nishinoya for their upcoming anniversary.

"Hey! Asahi! Come over here for a second!" Nishinoya called out from his table

Asahi looked at the younger.

"Go on now." Sugawara said

Asahi walked over to the libero, standing right behind him.

"Hi everyone." Asahi sheepishly said

"Everyone besides Tanaka, meet Asahi. My boyfriend." Nishinoya smiled, yanking Asahi's shirt and kissed the older

"Woah woah, things are getting hot in here." Tanaka laughed 

The other two boys sat there in shock, one gave a thumbs up as the other touchy one sulkily looked at his food.

Asahi's face tinted with a soft blush as they broke apart from the kiss. 

He smiled down at his lover. 

He was truly perfect to him.
