Luke was clearly mad.
I don't know if it's because of the whole thing at the restaurant, getting myself into the risky situation.
Or maybe it was because of the millionth time that I didn't wear a vest.
Evelyn stop acting stupid.
It's obviously both.
It wasn't my fault that I can't always get it on fast. It's not.
Regardless, Luke left early. He told me to just meet him at his place when I was done. There was little words, merely short, tight phrases that he uttered strained.
I couldn't follow him right away, of course.
Being a Chief means I can't just leave work now with all my new added responsibilities. Not that I would leave work early anyways, before as just an agent.
I thought to myself about him, trying to see how I would calm him down. I know his anger was in the right place, only there to make sure I was safe.
But I've been doing this thing for years. I've been working forever, and I end up fine. I always do.
Night came by so quickly. I parked my car into the driveway of his house. Sighing, I slipped off my jacket- still in my car. I tossed it into the passenger seat before pulling out the car keys and shoving them into my pocket.
