25- Where did it go?

SPIKE'S POV

'Hey Giles' Buffy yelled as we walked into the Magic Box

'Oh hello' he replied sounding flustered as he came out of the back room

'Is anyone else here?' she asked

'Oh, no it's just me and Anya for now' he smiled 'why what's wrong?'

'Oh no! Nothing is wrong, aha we just needed a book that's all' Buffy laughed

'Really? A book? I never thought I would hear those words come out of your mouth Buffy' Giles exclaimed

'Ha-ha! Anyway we need a book about the Ring of Amara'

'Hm' Giles pondered, he walked up to one of the many bookcases and ran his finger along the row. 'I think I gave it to you actually Buffy' he said

'Yeah, do you have another copy?' I asked

'No... That's the only copy'

'Giles! Why would you trust me with the only copy!' Buffy yelled

'DID YOU LOOSE IT?' Giles shouted with panic

'No! I didn't loose it, but well the last page is missing' Buffy mumbled

'What!?!?' Giles snapped

'The last page has been torned out' I answered

'Well I didn't do that' Giles replied

'Neither did we!' Buffy shouted

Giles sat down thinking this over 'I gave it to you in perfect condition' he said

'Did you ever read the last page?' I asked

'No, I hardly read the book. I got it at a book shop years ago and then when we had the ring I gave it straight to you Buffy'

'Do you remember the book shop?'

'No, the shop is long gone now'

'Thanks anyway' Buffy smiled

'Why do you need the last page?' Giles asked

'Because the second to last page said 'once the ring of Amara has been...' and I need to know what' I answered

'I'll research it'

'Thanks'

Buffy and I left the shop disappointed, there wasn't much else to do. Who would of stolen that page?
