Date (Remus Lupin)

A/N: You are a well known Gryffindor and Remus has a crush on you (you have a crush on him) but he never had the courage to ask you out

3rd POV:
Y/n L/n is a well known halfblood in the Gryffindor house. She got along with many of the friend groups but she never really fit in with them so she usually just by herself.

Remus Lupin another halfblood in the Gryffindor house. Apart of the famous Marauders. He was the more quiet one of the group and had a crush on Y/n L/n since 3rd year. Now it was 7th year, he made it his goal to ask her out before the school ended.

"You're staring at her again." Sirius teased Remus who was indeed staring at Y/n who was a few feet away.

"I was not!" Remus tried to defend but was no use.

"You were." James came into the conversation.

"Why don't you ask your out yet?" Peter asked.

"I can't just go be like 'Hey Y/n do you want to go on a date with me?'" Remus said jokingly.

"Sure." The four boys froze and turned to see Y/n who was now sitting next to Remus.

"H-hey." Remus stuttered.

"Hi." She blushed.

"Oh my god, this is so awkward." Sirius complained. "Remus you like Y/n and Y/n I know you like Remus. Now put two and two together and go out."

The three boys were waiting for Remus to struck up the courage and ask Y/n out but she beat him to it. "Do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?"

"Huh what?" Remus looked at her.

"Do you want to go on a date." She tried again.

"YES!" He shouted. "I mean yes."

"Cool." She kissed him on the cheek before leaving the hall.

"What just happened?" James asked his friends.

"Moony got himself a date." Sirius cheered.

Later that night as most of the students had left the common room for the dorms, Remus sat on the couch reading and didn't notice Y/n reading over his shoulder. As he went to turn the next page she stopped him. "I wasn't done reading that page yet."

He jumped not noticing her but relaxing a bit because it was Y/n. She walked around to the other side of the couch sat next to him and laid her head on his shoulder.

"Read to me." She asked.

And so he did, he continued to read for the next 15 minutes, stopping once he heard small snoring. He smiled to himself looking at the girl who was leaning on his shoulder. He was able to lay her down on the couch and grab a blanket without waking her up.

"Don't go, stay." She whispered once Remus started to leave. He set his book down and slid next to Y/n letting her lay her head on his chest. He brushed his hand over her hair while she wrapped her arms around him.

"Good night love" Remus kissed the top of her head.

"Good night Remus." Y/n said sleepily.

The two were awoken by a flashing white light and small laughter. They looked up to see James, Peter and Sirius standing about them with a camera in hand.

"What are you doing?" Remus looked at them clearly mad he was woken up.

"Oh nothing." James smirked. "You two were looking quite cozy."

"James shut up, I'm trying to sleep." Y/n cuddled into Remus more.

"Did you wake Y/n." Lily came down the stairs. "Bad move, you never wake her up."

Remus laughed as Y/n fell back asleep on top of him, now unable to move. "Moony come on, it's time for breakfast?" James called.

"Can't get up." He gestured down to Y/n. James looked at the two before sending Remus a wink as they left.

Y/n stayed like that for about 15 minutes before being fully awake. "Good morning."

"Morning, do you want breakfast?" Remus asked wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Yeah, that's sounds good, I'll meet you in like 10 minutes." Y/n got up from the couch ran up to her dorm changing into a new outfit and running back downstairs to see Remus who was also ready. She grabbed his hand pulling him towards the Great Hall.

"There's the happy couple." Sirius exclaimed as the two sat down for breakfast.

"Shut up." Y/n practically growled as she got her coffee. "You woke me up."

"Looks like we poked the bear." James laughed.

"So did Remus kiss you last night?" Sirius raised an eyebrow.

"Sirius." Remus narrowed his eyes.

"Not yet." Y/n winked.

"Are you going to kiss now?" Sirius asked.

"Do you want us too?" Y/n laughed.

"I mean it'd be pretty hot." James laughed.

Y/n look at the three boys before turning towards Remus. She cupped his face and brought her lips to his. It was soft and delicate but full of passion. As the two parted, Remus's face was bright red. Y/n laughed before pecking him once more before drinking the rest of her coffee.

"Yup, that was hot." Sirius stated.

"Good to now we pleased you." Y/n sipped her coffee. "C'mon Remus let's go to Hogsmeade."

She grabbed his hand and they left for Hogsmeade. James, Sirius and Peter looked at each other and mouthed 'whipped'. Their date is Hogsmeade went well. Remus took her to honeydukes and bought her tons of candy which she hated. She never like being a woman who couldn't do things for herself. She was an independent, feminist.

After he took her to Three Broomsticks and again bought her butterbeer. They talked about anything and everything. They had a lot of things in common, they were perfect for each other.

"I had fun today." Y/n said swinging their arms as they walked back to the castle. "This is the first date I've been on."

"Really?" He didn't seem to believe the most beautiful girl in his eyes hasn't gone on a date.

"I always believed I didn't need a man who did everything for me. I was independent and could do things for myself. But with you treat me as an equal." Y/n confessed.

"Is it too soon to ask you to be my girlfriend?" Remus asked nervously.

"I would love to be your girlfriend." Y/n smiled stopping and wrapping her arms around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned down and kissed her.

"If we stay out here, we might freeze." Y/n whispered as they broke apart resting their foreheads together.

"How about we go the common room, and I can get hot chocolates?" Remus offered.

"That sounds amazing. Come on." She grabbed his hand and ran back into the castle.
